So the first thing that I could talk about is this idea of escapism.

So escapism in itself is not a wholly good or bad thing.

It's just how we exercise that experience.

I love to escape through books, I love to escape through games, I like to escape through movies.

All these different ways that if I'm feeling incredibly stressed out by whatever it is that I've been going through, I partake of that activity and I feel much, much better after the fact.

But if you were then to apply this escapism to the idea that you could achieve that by going to another country, you're going to get a rude awakening as a result of that.

So I could then go on to talk about people, for example, who have anxiety in whatever home country that they live in, people that hate the social customs that are there, people who hate the job that they find themselves in.

If you were to come over to Japan and you're anxious, well, just imagine being in a place where you don't speak the language that well.

If you were frustrated by your social customs, try living in a place where you don't know all the social customs.

Anything that was already something that you were struggling with, well, come to Japan and then it's going to be so, so much worse.

You want to have these things sorted out beforehand.

The way that I could talk about this is in light of underlying humanity.

So it's, it's just that simple concept of that horrible people and wonderful people and great jobs and bad jobs and good job or good customs and bad customs exist no matter where you go on this planet.

And so if you were coming over to Japan and you think the idea is that I'll just get away from all of these nasty people, sure, you're going to meet a lot of wonderful people when you come to Japan.

I actually, just as I was recording this video, I'm re recording it now, I was stopped by a woman in the park who asked if she could practice her English with me.

Tons of great people here, but just as much I've come over and I've had horrible experiences.

So now we've talked about the negative reasons that you would come over.

Reasons, let's say, like the title of the video says that you should not come to Japan.

I think the best way, if you're going to give yourself the best chance of success in integrating and really enjoying your experience, is that if you look at Japan as a challenge, and

it's a challenge that you want to undertake willingly.

So it turns all of these things that might have been a reason after some period of time that you would give up and you would retreat, they instead be.

You would stay the course and you would face them and you would grow as a person.

So, like I said, to begin with, one of these things most easily is language.

So if you come over here knowing the fact that that's going to be really difficult for you and you embrace it well, you're going to have really good experiences.

You're going to meet random, friendly Japanese people that want to practice their English with you, and

I am probably going to have different challenges because these jobs I'm going to do, yeah, I want to do them, but

It's all about knowing that you're not going to escape, and

instead you're just going to have a new set of problems.

That you want to solve, that you want to be a part of.

And if you do that, then I think you'll have a really good experience rather than run from something that you can never escape.

There's a really good expression that says, you know, it's like your shadow the faster you run from it, the more quickly it chases you.

So those are the ideas that I wanted to share.

I wonder if people came over, if they have come over so far.
