Hi, Voicetubers. It's Nina, and this is the pronunciation challenge. Nice to see you again! Today's topic is gender stereotypes. What is a stereotype? Well, a stereotype is a specific impression or idea that people have about a particular thing or person. For instance, the idea of "Pink is for girls, not for boys." is one of the typical stereotypes. Although some people may think having stereotypes is not a big deal, it can have far more impact than we think. Gender stereotypes affect every choice we make since we were little kids, and they even shape our preferences and career paths. Make sure to check out today's video to learn more about gender stereotypes and how they affect us.
Let’s get to the sentence of the day.
Sentence
When we come across the same stereotypes again and again, they begin to feel natural and start to shape our preferences and career paths.

Alright , that's all for today's episode. I have a story about stereotypes. When I was in kindergarten, I had a classmate who was obsessed with Barbies. And I remembered that I overheard other kids' parents talking about him. They described him as "weird" and "unusual." I didn't realize how cruel those comments were to a little boy until I grew up. But till today, I still feel both angry and sad whenever I recall these memories. So, yeah. I think the terrible part of stereotypes is that it's like we're squeezing people into the box we draw for them and making people act the way we want them to be. But every individual has a different mind and talent. That's what makes our society so diverse and wonderful! Don't let stereotypes ruin it. Next time you're making choices, don't think of what people expect you to do, think of what you truly want. That's when you are going to be free. As always, don't forget to leave a comment down below with your recordings, and hope you enjoyed today's content. I'm Nina. See you in the next episode.
