“Billy? Billy! Clean up your room! It’s like a pigsty in here.”
“Y’know, Mom, pigs are actually really clean animals. People think that just because they cover themselves in mud they’re dirty, but actually, they do that to stay cool.”

What’s up, VoiceTubers? Leila here. Would you say you’re a neat freak or a bit closer to the messier side? Or maybe you’re somewhere in the middle, depending on the day. Well, no matter what your personal cleaning schedule is, it’s probably safe to say that we all love clean bathrooms. The trouble is keeping them clean. To that end, the lady in today’s video has some pretty good tips for little things that we can do on a daily basis to prevent our bathrooms from turning into disaster sites. Check it out if you haven’t already.

In the meantime, let’s get to the Sentence of the Day:

But trust me, when you walk into that clean bathroom, you're going to crave it being clean all the time and this routine is going to sit a lot easier with you.

Pronunciation tips:

1. walk into /wal-kin-to/
2. “Sit” + “a” + “lot” = linked together, more like a 3-syllable word

Vocabulary:

1. crave (v.) KK: /krev/ IPA: /kreɪv/
to have a very strong feeling of wanting something
Can we stop for lunch? I’m craving ramen.

2. routine (n.) KK: /[ruˋtin/ IPA: /ruːˈtiːn/
a usual or fixed way of doing things
I was ill for a few days and now I’m trying to get back into my daily routine.

3. sit right/well (with sb) (phrase)
to be something that you agree or are pleased with
The decision came down from management, but it didn’t sit well with the staff.

Alright, confession time: my bathroom is not always sparkling clean. Shocking, I know. I have the bad habit of letting a little bit of dirt build up, and then a little more, and then before I know it, cleaning the bathroom seems like a huge job that will take hours. So, watching today’s video was a great reminder for me that there are quick and easy ways to prevent the bathroom from becoming too gross to handle. Like keeping a little container of baking soda and a little spray bottle of cleaner in the bathroom so there’s no excuse not to give it a quick clean. That’s brilliant! Why didn’t I think of that?

I love tips like these because they’re really small actions that I can anchor to behaviors that I always do. I use my bathroom every day, so I might as well attach a super quick cleaning routine to that behavior. Here’s another tip I picked up along the way: before I move from one room in my home to another, I look around for any objects that should be in the room I’m heading to.

What about you? Are you good at keeping your home clean? Do you have any tips to share with us? Put ‘em in the comments below! And as always, hit that record button when you’re ready with your sentence. Catch ya next time.

Alright, confession(坦白n.) time: my bathroom is not always sparkling(閃亮的) clean(完全地adv.). Shocking, I know. I have the bad habit of letting a little bit of dirt build up, and then a little more, and then before I know it, cleaning the bathroom seems like a huge job that will take hours. So, watching today’s video was a great reminder(提醒n.) for me that there are quick and easy ways to prevent the bathroom from becoming too gross(噁心的) to handle. Like keeping a little container of baking soda and a little spray bottle of cleaner in the bathroom so there’s no excuse(藉口) not to give it a quick clean. That’s brilliant! Why didn’t I think of that? I love tips like these because they’re really small actions that I can anchor(/ˈæŋ.kɚ/固定v.) to behaviors that I always do. I use my bathroom every day, so I might as well attach(/əˈtætʃ/附著,固定v.) a super quick cleaning routine to that behavior. Here’s another tip I picked up along the way: before I move from one room in my home to another(在我離開一個空間去另外一個之前), I look around for any objects that should be in the room I’m heading to(隨時使物品歸位). What about you? Are you good at keeping your home clean? Do you have any tips to share with us? Put ‘em in the comments below! And as always, hit that record button when you’re ready with your sentence. Catch ya next time.
