早安大家, 這個是今天的問題 :) Should the coronavirus be considered a pandemic? The WHO hasn’t classified it as a pandemic yet, but it has spread around the world. If you don’t think it is a pandemic, what needs to happen for it to be considered a pandemic?
謝謝!

Thanks, Steve. I guess the answer is 80%! 80% of the world’s animals are insects. 昆蟲已存在數億年,種類估計約有數百萬種至一千萬種,約佔全球動物的80%
【spitting image】一模一樣 someone or something that looks very much like someone or something else - Kelly is the spitting image of her sister. I think they could be twins.

A pandemic (廣泛蔓延的流行疾病)is defined as a disease that spreads over the whole country or the whole world.
Supposedly, it hasn’t spread through enough individual communities, outside of China yet.
*Epidemic (流行病)is an outbreak of disease that affects many people at about the same time and may speed through one or several communities.
*Pandemic is when an epidemic speeds through the world.
We’re just below the level of famine(飢荒) which means people have no food whatsoever(不管怎樣).
*swarm is a large group of insects all moving together ora large group of people all moving together.
*a swarm of locusts一大群蝗蟲
*People swarm (湧進) the pharmacy to buy their ration(配給量) of masks.
*Personally, I think coronavirus is an pandemic since it has been affecting many people’s lives all around the world. I can’t think of any severe situation resulting from the infection on such scale in my life at least.
