*Dopamine （多巴胺）functions both as hormone and a neurotransmitter(神精傳導物質）. It plays several important roles in the brain and body. The anticipation of most types of rewards (大多數種類的對回饋預期) and addictive drugs(上癮藥物) increase the level of dopamine in the brain.

When people smoke, the dopamine level rises(增加）, which makes smoking enjoyable. That’s why it’s so hard for smokers to quit smoking.
