Instead have the courage to change it the way you want it to be.” – Naruto In 1997, Masashi Kishimoto created Naruto, the third best-selling manga series in history with over 205 million copies sold, plenty of awards, movies, games, the list goes on and on. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and dreams to become the Hokage, the ninja in his village who is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all. But at its heart, it’s the story of overcoming fear and pain, bettering oneself and its predominant theme: never give up. As Naruto‘s godfather, once said: a real ninja is one who endures no matter what gets thrown at him. There is only one thing that matters if you are a ninja, and it isn’t the number of techniques you possess. All you do need is the guts to never give up. Believing in yourself has the power to shape your destiny. If you don’t like the hand that fate’s dealt you, don’t accept it. Have the courage to change your destiny the way you want it to be. Fight for a new one. It’s human to have moments where hatred creeps into our lives. Kakashi, Neji, Gaara, Obito, all of them, they try to teach us that problems should be solved with kindness rather than violence, that we should leave our pride behind if we wish to change the future, the right way is never too late, and we must never lose faith in humanity. Revenge is never satisfying and the fate of those who seek revenge is grim. It’s tragic. Your suffering only deepens. And even if you do succeed, the only thing that remains is emptiness. The mother of all bad habits is laziness and it’s something we all should overcome. Train hard for what you want to achieve. Whatever you practice in private, you’ll be praised for in public. When others are sleeping Naruto is training, day and night he's always working on himself, improving his skills. As Rock Lee says there are two different kinds of ninjas. Those who are born with talent and don't have to work at it. And those who have to train every day of their lives. He says: I will prove my point that hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. True champions can make their inner demons work for them if we take responsibility. When Naruto lost control to the fox inside him, people got hurt. But he didn’t blame the nine taled beast inside of him, he took full responsibility for his actions, and that is the root of true power. As he reminds us: it’s not the face that makes someone a monster. It’s the choices they make with their life. So make the right ones. Have faith in yourself and have a clear goal in life. Like Naruto, who wanted to be the best ninja of all, remember this: do not see the obstacle, see the goal because success starts with a vision of success. You gotta believe in something for people to believe in you. You are the greatest power in your path to success and happiness. If someone says you’re a failure, do like Naruto and prove them wrong!
