逐字稿:
Introduction
Hiya VoiceTubers. It’s Wen.

What have you been dreaming about? Not the usual kind, I mean the ones during daytime. Daydreams.

Personally I love daydreams. How could I not? Being me, I’m in fictional worlds 50% of the time and 50% I’m reluctantly awake. Daydreaming is an escape and unlike actual dreams, you’re in control and it’s fun.

But unfortunately, as we all probably know, too much of something is never good. Our video today talks about Maladaptive Daydreaming, and here’s a quick look at what it is:

Sentence
It is a psychiatric phenomenon that can interfere with your ability to carry out daily tasks including your academics, work, and other regular activities.
它是一種精神病理的表現,並會干擾你的日常生活,例如你的學業、工作、和其他活動。

Pronunciation tips

psychiatric /ˌsaɪ.kiˈæt.rɪk/
tasks

Vocabulary

Psychiatric /ˌsaɪ.kiˈæt.rɪk/
adj. 精神病(學)的

Phenomenon /fəˈnɑː.mə.nɑːn/
n. (尤指不尋常的或有趣的)現象
something that exists and can be seen, felt, tasted, etc., especially something unusual or interesting

Example:
The eclipse is a natural phenomenon that occurs every 2 to 4 years.
日食是一個會兩到四年發生一次的自然現象。

Interfere /ˌɪn.t̬ɚˈfɪr/
v. 干涉,干預
to involve yourself in a situation when your involvement is not wanted or is not helpful

Example:
I wouldn’t want to interfere with their argument. This isn’t your fight.
如果我是你我不會干涉他們之間的爭執。這不關你的事。

Footnotes:
Interference during a call (通訊雜音)
Interfere with (介系詞)

Outro
So keep on daydreaming, y’all. But not too much. Feel free to share your daylight fantasies and don’t forget to leave your recordings below! See ya next time.
