[Introduction] 0:28 - 2:24
What’s up, Voicetubers? It is Benson! this is my very first episode So I'm going to do a little introduction about myself. So I actually grew up in Australia for 19 years before moving back to Taiwan to pursue music! I’ve been a musician for over 10 years and I’ve released my first debut EP in 2013 called “Everytime”. I’ve also been teaching English for five years ranging from kids to adults. I have two new singles that I’m about to release next month and I hope I’ll be able to share it with you all soon! If you're into pop, rap, or RnB then look me up on Instagram: benson2009.
So, I’m sure everyone knows that we just started a new year last week! 2020 was a crazy year and I’m sure a lot of people are happy that we have finally reached 2021! I attended a New Year’s Eve party last week to celebrate the end of 2020 (finally) and there were a lot of people that I’ve never met. Most of them were friends of friends or friends of someone I didn't know. One girl came over and introduced herself since we didn’t know each other but personally for me I have the fear of talking to strangers, so I literally froze and blanked out, didn’t know what to say. Well, of course, I had to pull myself together and introduce myself and be friendly. I think my friends would know that when they first met me I was a very quiet person, and after you get to know me you’ll find out I just never stop talking!! So today we’re gonna see what are some ways for us to talk to strangers.

聽影片好像沒加ing,所以查了一下字典。
be looking to do something
informal
to be planning or expecting to do something
We’re looking to buy a new car early next year.
看起來今天的句子應該是
… GET a date or RECRUIT someone… 才對,是說聽起來也沒有聽到ing啦!

0:28 What’s up, Voicetubers? It is Benson! this is my very first episode, so I'm going to do a little introduction about myself. So I actually grew up in Australia for 19 years before moving back to Taiwan to pursue([pɚˋsu]v.從事) music! I’ve been a musician for over 10 years and I’ve released(v.發行) my first debut(=first /ˈdeɪ.bju/n.首演) EP in 2013 called “Everytime”. I’ve also been teaching English for five years ranging(range[rendʒ]延伸v.) from kids to adults. I’ve actually got two new singles(n.單曲) that I’m about to release next month and I hope I’ll be able to share it with you all soon! If you're into(a.熱衷的) pop, rap, or RnB then look me up on Instagram: benson2009. So, I’m sure everyone knows that we just started a new year last week! 2020 was a crazy year and I’m sure a lot of people are happy that we have finally reached 2021! I went to a New Year’s Eve party last week to celebrate the end of 2020 (finally) and there were a lot of people that I’ve never met. Most of them were friends of friends or friends of someone I didn't know. One girl came over and introduced herself since we didn’t know each other but personally for me I have the fear of talking to strangers, so I literally froze(freeze僵住v.) and blanked out(腦子一片空白), didn’t know what to say. Well, of course, I had to pull myself together(振作起來) and introduce myself and be friendly. I think my friends would know that when they first met me I was a very quiet person, and after you get to know me you’ll find out I just never stop talking!! So today we’re gonna see what are some ways for us to talk to strangers? Let’s get to it, so the sentence for today is: “Whether you’re looking to make a new friend, get a date or recruit(/rɪˈkruːt/v.招募) someone into that cool new cult(/kʌlt/n.邪教) you just joined, it probably means that you’re going to have to talk to a stranger.”
