Seeing the change happening, but not getting too swept away by it. That means not getting too caught up in all of the information that's flying around. Not getting too caught up in our internal thoughts, but instead, being able to step back.

[Intro]
Hello, VoiceTubers! This is Annie. Welcome to today’s pronunciation challenge. Are you afraid when there is any change in your life? To be honest, I am. I don’t like changes. I like to plan everything in advance and I hope things can stick to my plan. But, you know, they can’t since the world is changing all the time. So every time when I can’t follow my plan , I would just become anxious because I don’t know what to do next. Well, what are the right ways and attitudes when you’re facing inevitable changes? Let’s move to today’s sentence and see what it tells us!
[Vocab]
1. sweep
Sally was swept away by her sister’s excitement.
Sally
2. be/get caught up in sth.
be/get caught up in sth.
She chose not to take sides because she didn’t want to get caught in the argument between her parents.
3. internal
You can write down your internal thoughts through a diary.
[Outro]
Alright, that’s all for today’s pronunciation challenge! How do you deal with the changes in your life? Are you also like me who faces changes with anxiety? But I realize that changing is not always a bad thing. It all depends on how you think of it. Well, share your ideas with us by leaving comments below and don’t forget to practice today’s sentence. See you next time!

Thanks, Annie!
0:32 Are you afraid when there is any change in your life? To be honest, I’m. I don’t like changes, I like to plan everything in advance([ədˋvæns]n.提前), and I hope things can stick to my plan. But you know, they can’t since the world is changing all the time. So every time, when I can’t follow my plan, I would just become anxious because I don’t know what to do next. Well, what are the right ways and attitudes(n.態度) when you’re facing inevitable([ɪnˋɛvətəb!]a. Let’s move to today’s sentence and see what it tells us:
Seeing the change happening, but not getting too swept away by it. That means not getting too caught up in all of the information that's flying around. Not getting too caught up in our internal thoughts, but instead, being able to step back.
1. sweep [swip] (v.)
動詞變化 sweep/swept/swept
be swept away (ph.)= be emotionally overwhelmed
-Sally was swept away by her sister’s excitement.
+ get swept away 被捲走
-Do you remember the first time that you ever got swept away?
-Everything she cherished(v.珍惜) was swept away overnight.
2. be/get caught up in sth (ph.)= to become involved in something, especially when you do not want to be陷入,捲入,糾纏某事物中
-She chose not to take sides(選邊站) because she didn’t want to get caught up in the arguments between her parents.
Have you had a experience that you have to take sides, Such as when your parents or friends are fighting? You don’t want to be caught up in the argument but you’re left no choice.
+take sides 選邊站
The last thing I'm going to do is take sides.
+ get caught up 被吸引住了
I get caught up - tongue-tied.
3-1. internal [ɪnˈtɜrnəl] (adj.)= inner = existing in your mind
+ inland [ˋɪnlənd]
-The Black Sea is a large inland sea.
adv.
-Seabirds often come inland to find food.
You can write down your internal thoughts through a diary([ˋdaɪərɪ]n.日記).
(英) Do you keep a diary(寫日記) every day? I’ve started to do that since this year, but I don’t write it every day, I write it when there are too many thoughts in my brain, or when there is something special happening in my life. How about you? Tell us whether you have a habit of keeping a diary.
3-2. external [ɪkˈstɜrnəl] (adj.)
+ external to somebody/something
The information has come from reliable sources external to the government.
How do you deal with the changes in your life? Are you also like me who faces changes with anxiety? But I realize that changing is not always a bad thing, it all depends on how you think of it.
