… l know many of you have been doing the pronunciation challenge for a very long time, and I really admire you. I’m actually a lazy person, so I truly respect people who are persisted(堅持的).

Today is the last day of Moon Festival Holiday. Did you have enough moon cakes and BBQ yet? Well, I didn’t. I love BBQ and I probably never have enough of it. Okay, enough chatting. Let’s start today’s episode.

For my very first episode, I decided to pick this video because I thought it was very interesting. Have you guys watched these movies before? I’v watched 2012, Interstellar and Mad Max, but not Day After Tomorrow. Why haven’t I watched it before? I have no idea. But anyway, what do you think of these movies? Did you ever question(v. 表示疑問）the authenticity(真實性) of them? Did these movies have any effect on you or make you pay more attention on our environment?

It’s true that all these movies were a bit exaggerated(誇大的) but that doesn’t mean what they show won’t happen. Impacts(衝擊) from climate change are happening in a gradual way. We should keep this in mind and take action. It’s better late than never.

Now, let’s take a look at today’s sentence. It’s a description(描述，形容) of the movie Mad Max:

dictator (n.) 獨裁者；專斷獨行的人
*The military dictator has been ruling this country for decades. The people in this country have not had a single day of peace.

resource (n.) (有形的；無形的) 資源（多用複數形）
* Russia is full of natural resources such as oil and gas.
* The company used all their resources to develop this new product. It’s all-or -nothing for them.
all-or-nothing 非全有即全無的；孤注一擲的

limited (adj.) 有限的
* It was already too late when we started to look for a hotel. There were very limited options.

unlimited (adj.) 無限的
* If you buy the monthly all-pass ticket(月票), you can take the MRT for an unlimited number of times before it expires(過期).

desert (n.) 沙漠
* My dream is to ride a camel in the desert.

dictator (n.) has two meanings.
First one is a leader who has complete power in a country and has not been elected by the people. And the second meaning is a person who gives orders and behaves(v.表現) as if they have complete power.
* The military dictator has been ruling this country for decades. The people in this country have not had a single day of peace.
* Our boss is such a dictator, he never listens to our opinions.

resource (n.) means a useful or valuable possession(財產) or quality(品質) of a country, organization, or person.
We usually use this word in its plural form(複數形）
* Russia is full of natural resources such as oil and gas.
* The company used all their resources to develop this new product. It’s all-or -nothing for them.

limited (adj.) 有限的
If something is limited, it means it’s confined(限制) within limit.
* It was already too late when we started to look for a hotel. There were very limited options.

unlimited (adj.) 無限的
The opposite(相對的) word for limited is unlimited. It means lacking any controls, having the greatest possible amount, number, or level.
* If you buy the monthly all-pass ticket(月票), you can take the MRT for an unlimited number of times before it expires(過期).

desert (n.) 沙漠
It means an area, often covered with sand or rocks, where there is very little rain and not many plants.
* My dream is to ride a camel in the desert.

Has anyone tried that before? I heard that is actually quite uncomfortable.

就跟Nina老師說的一樣，真的很佩服那些能夠持之以恆的人耶~每天都有固定練習口說的習慣，沒像我都常常因為課業與報告忙的忘記（不知道voicetube 可不可以做個提醒的功能呀哈哈哈）各位超過6天的都是我的前輩~值得我學習的對象，快來分享是要怎麼維持這樣的好習慣吧！
我會乖乖補我前面缺的部分的?

*影片心得
看到這影片，心裡有種莫名的難過與害怕，想著離自己國家好遠的地方正在面臨沙漠化、旱災等等的問題，全球暖化更是全世界共同要面對的課題，希望地球能夠撐住呀~（最近真的太熱了，不得不吹冷氣，但我家早上只吹兩個小時，晚上一小時，這樣夠對得起你了吧~?）

給Nina老師：老師我聽到你的聲音就覺得你超級可愛的，我覺得老師的開場白可以講長一點點沒關係?我很樂意多多聽一些英文，哦想問老師要怎樣分別 it's與its的發音呀~因為聽錄音寫下來後發現真的聽不太清楚耶（這是我個人的問題啦），都要等自己抄下錄音的內容比對上下文才知道哪個是it's 哪個是its，謝謝老師的解答哦哦哦~
