Should we learn some winter facts together?

When snow falls from the sky, it's made up of lots of different little snowflakes.

當雪從天上飄下來的時候，是由很多不同的小雪花組成的。

Did you know that every snowflake is different?

你知道嗎？每一片雪花都是獨一無二的喔。

That means no two snowflakes look the same.

這代表沒有兩片雪花長得一模一樣。

In winter, the sun goes down earlier, but

冬天的時候，太陽下山的時間比較早，

because our part of the Earth gets less sunlight each day.

這是因為我們地球的這部分每天接收到的陽光比較少。

Did you know that hedgehogs sleep all winter long?

你知道嗎？刺蝟會睡整個冬天。

They curl up into a little ball and make a little space for themselves using leaves and grass.

牠們會捲成一個小球，然後用樹葉和草為自己打造一個小小的空間。

And they stay cozy until it's warm again.

牠們會一直保持溫暖，直到天氣變暖為止。

Oh, winter is chilly, but full of things that make me go wow.

喔，冬天雖然冷，但有很多讓我驚豔的事物。

First, make sure you have enough space to move.

Stretch your arms out like a penguin and do a little waddle.

Whenever you hear the music, we are going to move.

You can waddle like a Piri penguin or move your penguin flippers up and down like this.

Then when the music stops, you have to freeze.

Stay in your seat or get up on your feet.

I think we should put on our big woolly coats.

First, let's make the body by using our arms to roll up some snow into a big ball.

How about we finish off our snowman by giving him some arms?
