    • I loved school by the way growing up elementary school I was always I guess the teacher's pet because I just loved learning and I loved interacting with the teachers I loved sharing with my class I loved reading to my class I loved showing up and doing show-and-tell I loved going up to the chalkboard and writing out words and spelling words when we had spelling tests like I just loved everything about and learning and when I went home though it was the teachers saw me a certain way when I went to school but when I went home the adults saw me a different way so there I was living in these two worlds and that's why I think I was so drawn to school and I loved school and then that kind of carried forward in into high school where I realized hey if I just keep doing well in school that the way that my teachers have always seen me the students in my classes have always seen me maybe that's gonna shift in terms of how my the adults and the family members in my family are gonna see me they're gonna see that I'm worthy that I'm valuable that I'm good too that I'm smart and so I strived really hard in high school I was on all the extracurricular activities I was on student council I got the best sets of grades I mean I was very high strung high anxiety always wanting to prove my worth my value and you know it worked when I graduated I won a ton of awards okay in grade 12 I got a ton of awards I was the valedictorian I had a full speech prepared that I delivered at my graduation everything that I did in high school led to that moment where I could show to my parents look at me I'm worthy I'm valuable I'm smart I want you to be proud and that carried forward into university where I went into university feeling like okay I just gotta study hard also get good grades and then I'll end up with a really good steady stable prestigious business job of some sort and some of you know this part of the story where I ended up falling into the world of accounting because how did I do that well there was a workshop at school where we had to select sort of the career path that we wanted to head on because then that would determine the courses that we would take and so they showed different charts they showed like this bar chart and it was all based on salary income and they showed you know what HR and marketing would make salary wise then they showed what finance would make they also showed then what accountants would make I mean for some reason in the business program that I was in that's all they showed for everything was valued based on how could how much could I make how am I gonna be seen by others how are people going to value me I mean that started long before I even entered university I already knew that it was gonna be based on money how people were gonna see me as an adult so I started taking those accounting courses I started working at a major accounting firm I actually even back then I knew how to interview I it was just a natural skill that I was able to do I nailed all those interviews with the big four accounting firms I got every single job offer and I was able to pick and choose which firm I wanted to work for and so I did I worked for Princeton Young EY I graduated university starting work as a full-time employee at EY at this big for accounting firm I thought okay well I think I've made it but there was deep unhappiness and discontentment inside of me in those years as an auditor where you would go to different clients and you would sit in their rooms that they designate for the auditors where you would work till 12 1 2 3 a.m. in the evening I was very unhappy and that was the start of my early adulthood where I really started to question what have I been striving for this is not what I want and then at the same time I also felt like a huge failure I felt all those feelings again that I felt as a little kid that I wasn't smart enough I wasn't valuable I wasn't worthy I was depressed I would almost say like I was so insecure and that was when I thought okay I don't want to do this anymore I told my parents I sat them down I had enough guts within me to just say listen you've seen how unhappy I've been in the last few years I'm no longer wanting to do this path anymore I am now ready to shift and I want to do work that is more fulfilling for me because I felt like it had to be based on career for me to feel valuable and I think a lot of people are probably going through that right now maybe that's where you're at where you're thinking okay if I just find a better job that's more interesting to me more in line with what I'm good at then I'm gonna feel better and you know what part of that is true and so if that's what you're feeling absolutely go for it that's what I needed at that time but didn't realize there was more that I need to discover which I'll explain so I switched career paths I then became a headhunter a recruiter I discovered I was really good at talking to people finding good people helping people with their resumes with their with their interviews helping them to sell themselves that they could get those job offers because I could see abilities and talents and potential in and I was able to then match that to opportunities that I knew would be good for them and I helped many people find jobs and that was great I was felt very proud of myself I started to see myself a little bit differently I started to open myself more to feeling that maybe you know I actually am worthy of something but of course it still was limited because I still based my self-worth off of how much I was making my salary and I think everyone to an extent does this if you make a lot of money you feel a little bit better about yourself when you compare yourself to other people because you feel more valuable you feel more worthy but it's all fake feeling it's not genuine self-worth so three and a half years of doing that I've been there done that I've reached I've hit all these records I've placed hundreds of people and what else do I want to do do I want to keep doing this forever no I was ready to evolve I've reached I have reached a point in my personal development where I wanted to do something more because I was seeing a lot of people who were not doing well in interviews not getting job offers and as a result of that they were just left to the wayside and so I wanted to be able to support those people and to be honest those were the majority of people you know as much as I was able to place people in job jobs there were hundreds of other people that I just like ignored because they couldn't answer an interview question properly because they didn't prepare their resume the right way so I knew that there was an opportunity to help those people and that was when I then went through a huge shift in my life as an adult where I started sharing what I knew on YouTube and sharing all the strategies and advice and lessons that I learned as a recruiter and just from myself and putting that out there on the internet and that's how I got to where I am today so that's been great but like I said very early on in this video in the last two years things have shifted for me in the sense that I've become a mother and being becoming a working mom changes your perspective on who you are and what you want to offer the world so much for some women it doesn't happen that way but for me it has happened where now I look at my children and I go I want to be here for my children I want to be present for them but in order for me to be present and fulfilled and inspiring towards them and showing them what that means as they grow up I need to feel fulfilled and inspired within myself and I started to question and ask myself well who am I now when I do go back to YouTube which I guess is starting now do I want to continue on the path of being that one-dimensional Linda Rayner career strategist or am I ready now to share more of who I truly am the lessons that I've learned from my personal life that have then led to the professional life that I've created the experiences that I've gained and also just somehow the innate knowledge and wisdom that is within me that is bursting at the seams that wants to be shared that wants to be openly expressed I asked myself that question and I said you know what I'm ready to do this because why I am sensing when I try to read the energy of what's going on within this world and with the people that watch this channel there is a lot of uncertainty that people are experiencing right now within themselves and certainty meaning you just don't know where you're going you just don't know what direction you want to head and you have an idea you have an inkling that where you're at in your life is not necessarily where you want to be forever and you're looking towards something to grow into to evolve into you want to grow and evolve and and shift but something's holding you back you want to feel more fulfilled you want to feel more inspired but again something's holding you back and when I say something's holding you back it has everything to do with what I've discovered to be emotional blockages within me so much of how I was raised growing up and that I've had to heal over the years was the idea of not feeling worthy not feeling good enough not feeling smart enough not feeling confident within myself not feeling secure and not feeling at ease in my own body using my voice just not none of that I've had to push through that in order to just even show up on YouTube but now that I've gone through this healing over these last seven years I've gone through a lot of inner self work I've reached out to healers and therapists and counselors and coaches and and all those types of individuals mentors and just been able to hone in within myself a greater understanding of who I am and I've been able to release and process those emotional blockages that have stopped me up until this point of really speaking my voice so now that we're here to present day one thing that I really want to talk about is the idea that if you feel that you're not good enough if you feel that you're not worthy if there's this feeling within you that's just like this unsettled deep unhappiness when you wake up in the morning there's just some sort of discontent and you walk around feeling disgruntled and you and you just don't know why you can't shake this feeling you just accept that maybe this is just how life is and you feel gloomy inside even though you have a good job or in your daily life on the outside you may appear to people that you are fine and that you're happy with your life but really inside you're not it's time to be honest with yourself it's time to ask yourself how do I really feel about myself who am I really because the moment that you decide to open yourself up to who you truly are and you're starting to be more curious about what's going on within you that's holding you back from pursuing the life of your dreams from going after that fully inspired fulfilled life the moment that you can start to turn inwards and stop looking for outward validation outward praise or that next job or that next house or that next car as soon as you can start to turn inward everything will shift for you you will be able to tap into and understand who you truly are now this is the part where I just realized I also didn't include in my story over the last seven years I got married to my husband in 2015 we moved into a house outside of Toronto and in that house a lot of stuff happened only my friends and family know this and they still think I'm crazy when I share those stories with them or repeat those stories to them I can just tell you that a lot of stuff happened in that house where there was a lot of activity okay so weird I know this is like taking a completely different turn isn't it I was sensing that there were spirits hanging around me in the house they were coming and going in the house and then physical things were happening okay I'm getting chills as I mentioned this really freaky okay things were happening in that house and I never had even tuned in really too much to this other sensitivity that I had and the sensitivity that I had that my husband did not have was the of feeling other energies that's just one side okay I was feeling other energies things would happen in the house that made me realize okay I have some sort of weird ability and it was confirmed because I actually got external individuals who were very sensitive okay this is really strange but as I was just talking about me being able to sense things and sense energies in my old house because I've since moved my camera just first of all I got chills I got these chills in my body like I physically felt them and then my camera stopped recording and I had no clue it just silently stopped recording usually when it stops recording there's a sound off of my camera this time no sound no nothing I don't know what that means I don't know if it means anything at all I'm maybe making too much of it but let me just say that why I wanted to share that little piece with you is because that was a time in my life where once I started to realize I was sensing things that were not in my control and not things that I was making up because I'm the one that's experiencing this more and sensing this more and my husband wasn't I realized I have sensitivities within me in general and then I started to work on that and tune in on that because it started to really showcase itself to me anytime that I was helping someone a coaching client for example or if I was talking to just even friends or people that I knew and we would get into deep conversations I had and continue to have this sensitivity where I'm able to tap into someone's emotions emotional blockages I'm able to understand where they're at mentally emotionally even spiritually I can sense what's going on with someone and then I'm able to reflect that back to them share that with them and then potentially depending on the situation give them strategies advice tips or whatever to shift out of that to move forward because I find that there is power in understanding you if you can understand why you feel the way you feel if you're feeling like I said disgruntled unhappy uncertain about yourself if you can understand where that's coming from coming from why that's happening and sometimes it takes somebody who you don't know at all to sort of reflect that back to you if you can get that that's so powerful I mean that's essentially what therapy is hopefully moving forward on this channel I can share with you what I've learned what I've gained insights on that I've gone through that and also people that I know have gone through or are going through I can share that with you and hopefully give you a different perspective shift the way that you see it and the way you see yourself and then allow that emotional blockage to release so that you can move forward in your life and become more of who you truly are and be able to tap into your inner wisdom as well I think we all have intuition I know I have intuition I think we all have it to some degree but we are blocked from it if we tell ourselves that it doesn't exist or that we don't have it we block ourselves off from it we can all feel energy we can all sense we just don't necessarily know how to harness it and use it and this is what I want to be able to openly talk about with you because there's you know there's always this fear in the past that I would be this woo-woo girl that you know talking about spiritual stuff and it's not all spiritual that I'm talking about I like to keep things practical as you know I like to keep things grounded and so there's a mix of all of that in what I want to move forward and share with you so as we're getting to the towards the end of this video what I want to say here is this if you are at a point in your life where you are feeling stuck feeling lost feeling uncertain within yourself you are wanting to move into more of who you truly are you want to become more authentic you want to find and pursue your purpose your mission whatever you want to call it you want to live your life more intentionally you want to show up more authentically more as your honest self then you're at the right place because I want to join that journey with you I am looking forward to being here to support guide you and then for you then to also hopefully support and guide me in this process as we can move forward and fulfill our dreams and pursue the lives that we are meant to here I am really looking forward to what this is going to unfold into I'm not gonna set huge expectations on myself or for all of this I can only really do what I'm able to at every moment I'm just going to keep it to what my current abilities are right now and that is to just share share what I know share what I've learned and I will continue to do that so this is just the beginning I hope you'll join with join me on this path things are evolving things are changing and let's do that together why not thank you so much for watching I will talk to you soon
