Today we’re talking about something that I was very passionate about for sometime, that is the claw machines. Claw machines became extremely popular in the last a couple of years, it’s slowly dying down(逐漸消失) now, but it used to be so popular that there were at least 5 claw machine stores near my home. And I live in a quite suburb([ˋsʌbɝb]郊區) area in Taipei, and because of that, I got hooked(迷上了). I dove(v.潛) deep(adv.深地) into the claw machine craze(n.瘋狂) and I got some achievements. I own so many plushies(/ˈplʌʃ.i/絨毛玩具) and figurines([͵fɪgjəˋrin]小雕像) in my house that I’m planning on donating them when I move in the future. During my days of my claw machine addition(n.成癮), I realize something. Claw machines are rigged([rɪgd]a.以不正當手段操縱的). Surprise! Yup, something has done to them that make them uneasy to grab(v.抓) on: rigged. Ok, I’m sure you probably already knew that, but in today’s video, the speaker talks more about it, and possibly that things you don’t already know. So if you’re curious like me, go watch the video.
