人心難測啊⋯(甄嬛的詞兒?)
[[?]]代表不確定,麻煩前輩們幫幫忙
***中英版***
⋯Do you feel safe in your country? Today’s video is about guns and mass shooting in the U.S. Does your country allow its residents to own guns? In the U.S., most states allow some form of open carry, which means people can carry their guns in public. I’ll tell you more about what I know and my thoughts after we go over the featured sentence and vocabulary words.

Nearly 40 percent say they always have a loaded firearm at the ready in their home.

percent (abj.) 百分比 means full or out of every 100.
An object in water will look 25 percent larger than its actual size.

loaded(adj.)槍上膛的 describes when a gun has bullet inside of it.
There have been incidents that children accidentally shooting themselves or others because their parents left their loaded guns at home and it was not safely locked up.

firearm(槍枝)is a noun, it means a gun that can be carried easily.
Firearms in the past were not be able to shoot very far.

As of this year, there are more mass shootings than days in the U.S. In total, there have been 283 mass shootings. This information is from gun violence [[?are?]]. They define a mass shooting as a place where at least 4 people were shot, not including the shooter. A big reason [[?as]] to why so many people want to have their own guns is because of The Second Amendment(修正案), the right to bear(攜帶) arms, which means the people have their rights to own guns.
Some people carry their own firearm or gun or they leave them at home in case of an emergency, because they have been so many mass shootings, teachers and students are having to learn how to stop a bleeding bullet wound now, it’s funny that how we are not trying to stop the weapon that is killing people and instead are teaching others how to save someone who does get hit by a bullet. And this reminds me of the two quotes that were mentioned in the video, which are “guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” and “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”
I think people forgot how destructive or scary guns can be it, because they can kill more than one person at a time. Compare to other weapons that likely can’t kill as many people.
There have been times and shootings where people who believe in having their own guns ran away or froze in the situation[[?求本句翻譯]). And there are also people who had guns who did not do anything immediately.
Sadly I think we have all become numb(麻木) to the shootings, which means we see stories about shootings on mostly a daily basis, and no longer have any strong feelings about it, and it becomes part of a daily basis that we ignore or forget.

Thank you, Heather.

只有拿槍的好人才可以阻止拿槍的壞人,這句話很有意思。
讓我想到這句話:「貪官奸,清官要更奸」

槍枝管制有處也有壞處。如果管制的很嚴厲,壞人還是有管道拿到槍枝,其實不完全是壞處。那樣造成的危害不一定比較低。

Thanks Heather everyone who listens to my recording.

We see spikes and public support for stricter laws in the wake of mass shootings like Columbine, Sandy Hook, and Las Vegas.
But in a matter of weeks, the bumps fade.

看來民眾對公共事務的健忘是不分國籍的...
