Recently, the well-known sport brand, Nike, is facing criticism for offering reduced contracts to female athletes who took times off (請假）to have a child.

The track and field(田徑）athlete Alison Felix started against Nike for failing to offer maternity protection (產育保障）.

So Nike wanted to pay 70% less after she gave birth (生育）to her first daughter.

They told a stories we athletes are true, but have been too scared to tell publicly if we have children, we risk pay cuts(減薪） from sponsors during pregnancy and afterwards. It’s one example of a sport industry(ㄧ個運動界的例子） where the rules are still mostly made for and by men.

It’s obvious that the sport industry is still currently in a male-dominated system(男性主導的系統）and it’s not just in the sport sector.

Gender inequality happens across all industry and it’s also your responsibility to be aware of this topic as a modern day citizen(現代公民）.

Common complications(常見的併發症） of the flu（流感） include dehydration and muscle inflammation（脫水和肌肉發炎）.
