Critical thinking can be defined the ability to analyze information objectively(客觀的分析訊息) to form a reasonable judgement(得到有理得判斷).
Many people think critical thinking is just too much trouble but you use it every time you make a decision when shopping, speaking or working.
When you make decisions, you should have a solid foundation of knowledge and values. Always look at the backs, remain open-minded(保持心胸寬闊)to consider other perspectives, then make an informed decision.
But be honest, critical thinking is only the first step being able to think critically and act your judgement at the appropriate time.
It’s key to a tiny success in your own life and make our society more progressive(更進步的).
If you’re able to think critically but never act(從不行動), how can you make a difference in your own life?
* Being doubtful, skeptical and to explore something reasonably are all the words come to my mind when speaking of critical thinking.
We ultimately stress key syllables and shorten unstressed syllables. (強掉重音音節,縮短非重音的音節)
You can imitate (模仿)them and apply them to your own speech.
Critical thinking, such an important topic, especially when we live in the era of disinformation(由其我們生存在假資訊的世代) and so-called fake news.
There are many news sources that have some biased(偏見) or political leaning(政治偏好).
*Fake news check 假新聞檢查
You should not make an assumption(假設) about people based on how they look.
Across spectrum 跨領域
He has supports from across the whole political spectrum.他得到所有政治派系各領域的支持
An alternative to coffee 咖啡的替代品
There must be an alternative (替代方案)to people sleeping on the street.
From what she said, the implication was that they will be splitting up(隱含他們即將分手).
To consider implications考量可能的後果
The company is cutting back on(對⋯縮支) its spending and I wonder what the implications (影響)will be for our department.
The polices are sifting (仔細檢查)through the evidence to try and find a guilty person.
