French is the official language, croissants are still on the menu and statues of French heroes dot the squares. The heritage-listed city center even has its own mini version of the Notre Dame.

It’s only me feeling Sam’s voice is rather tender today or that’s just the psychological effect owing to this pleasantly cool weather? :)| Canada is actually an officially bilingual country.| An official/unofficial transcript.| Statues tend to have some sort of cultural or historical significance. For example: the statue of formal president.| Sculpture tends to be more related to art/ A form of art as opposed to painting, drawing, sculpture...these all different art forms.| They dot the squares: They scatter all over the squares.| Plaza is more like a place where you find a stores. For example, if you go somewhere and maybe one side of road, you’ll see a whole bunch of stores like a little group, like clusters...Maybe a little group on side of intersection, you can call that a plaza. | Heroine v.s. heroin.| Notre dame is actually a cathedral of Paris. It means our lady.| In French, many of the letters at the end of word, you don’t pronounce them. So I personally would recommend pronouncing as Croissan(without “t”).|
