Howard identified seven cloud types, but these have since been expanded to ten, cloud nine being the towering cumulonimbus thunder cloud, which is probably why being on cloud nine means to be on top of the world. 霍華德鑑別出7種雲的種類，而今更增加到了10種，其中的第9種是高聳的積雨雷雲，這大概就是為何“置身九霄雲端”意指"極度快樂"的原因吧！
