(Via New York Daily News) According to WJRT, Zunti kept the stash in a watertight container tied to a seawall ladder on the American side of the the St. Clair River. "...and, yes, they cuffed him in his scuba gear." MSNBC reports a witness tipped off authorities who noticed Zunti in the water at unusual hours. Cameras spotted him carrying the dry bag, which authorities apprehended. And authorities say Zunti swam up to three-quarters of a mile before police intervened. One officer called it "quite the swim" according to ABC. In 2008, the state passed a law known as the Medical Marijuana Act that allows people to possess up to 2.5 ounces of medicinal marijuana at any given time — if it's prescribed by a doctor. Zunti is currently being held in custody of the St. Clair County Drug Task Force on a $100,000 bond.
