I'll probably do more in the future of mistakes students might make sometimes you know when I correct writing and they're writing a letter this would be a common mistake, especially that a student of ESL might make. Even though, you never know maybe even a native speaker might make this mistake. But probably not. They would probably instinctively know this is not correct. All right. Let's look at the note here. Don't write 'Dear MR. " when writing a letter if the surname, remember the surname is the last name or the family name is unknown. You should also not write "Dear MRS. , . Miss or Dear MS. You know again, if the surname is unknown the correct form should be 'Dear sir' or "Dear Madam. " So if you don't know their name, then just write 'Dear Sir' or I don't know. Sometimes, we also use it 'to whom it may concern, " if the person is completely unknown. But definitely don't do this. Don't write, so again here with the X this is wrong. Don't write Dr. MR. . Dear sir would be fine. Or you know again don't write the Dear MRS either. The correct way would be "Dear Madam" or you know of course if you do know the last name, then mister is fine. You know Dear MR. Smith. If you know the person that you're dressing you know this is definitely their last name that's fine. Dear MRS.. Robinson or Dear MS, Robinson. Again that's where students might get confused with it because you know they know when they do the name and they do know the name that they should put you know, MR. and MRS. . Anyway, I hope it's clear. I hope you got it. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
