I hung out with losers, and I became the biggest loser of them all, because I gave up everything

I dreamt about when I was a little boy, because of who I chose to surround myself with.

My friends drive me home at two three four in the morning, we'd be drunk and high,

我的朋友們會凌晨兩三四點載我回家，我們喝醉也吸毒吸到很嗨

laughing in the car.

We pulled off in front of my house and they go, "Marc, Marc, the light's on."

I go "Oh man, my mother's up."

See, my mom wouldn't go to bed until she knew her son was still alive.

I walk in, she said: "Hi Marc, how was your night?"

"It goes good mom. I'm just gonna go to bed."

She said: "Can I, can I talk to you for a minute?"

她說：「我可以跟你講一下話嗎？」

I go: "Mom, I'm tired. I'm just gonna go to bed."

我說：「媽，我很累了，我只想趕快去睡覺。」

She said, "Marc, I haven't seen you all day and all night. Can I please talk to you?"

她說：「馬克，我整天整夜沒看到你，拜託你讓我跟你說說話好嗎？」

I said: "Man, just leave me alone. You bug me."

我說：「哎，不要吵我，你很煩欸！」

I slammed my bedroom door on the one person who believed in me.

我重重地將我的房門摔在這世上唯一相信我的人身上

I was at a worldwide tour, we were wrestling overseas in Japan.

有一次，我去世界各地比賽，那次我們在日本摔角

After my wrestling match, I went upstairs to my hotel room and I fall asleep.

比賽結束後，我上樓到我的旅館房間然後就睡了

There was a knock on my door at 3 o'clock in the morning.

凌晨三點的時候有人敲我的房門

I got up out of bed, I looked through the safety window and I could see he was a Japanese promoter.

我起床，從安全窗往外看，我知道他是日本的摔角選手

So I opened the door and he said: "Marc, you need to call home. There's been an emergency."

我打開門，他說：「馬克，你要打電話回家，你家發生了緊急狀況。」

I went back to the hotel room phone, I called back to the United States, "Hey, what's going on?"

我回到旅館房間，我打回美國，我問：「嘿，發生什麼事情了？」

He said, "Marc, I don't know how to tell you this."

他說：「馬克，我不知道如何跟你說這件事。」

I said, "Just tell me. What happened?"

我說：「就直接跟我說。發生了什麼事？」

He started crying: "Marc, I can't tell you."

他開始哭泣，他說：「馬克，我無法告訴你。」

I said: "Just say it."

我說：「直接說吧。」

He said: "Marc, your mother died."

他說：「馬克，你的媽媽死了。」

I just threw the phone down. I ran out of my hotel room. I took the elevator to the lobby.

我把電話丟下，衝出房門，搭電梯下樓到大廳

When the doors opened up, I just ran out into the street. I mean there was no car, there was no people.

It's 3 o'clock in the morning. And I walked down the middle of the street in Hiroshima, Japan,

and I rememeber looking up and just saying: "Mom, I am so sorry."

I flew home for the funeral and I was so nervous to walk up to her casket, so I just stood way in the back,

我飛回去參加喪禮，我很緊張，不敢走到她的棺材前面，所以一直站在後面遠遠觀望

and I kept looking from a distance, I kept thinking to myself: "Mom, please wake up. Please get up."

And then I finally got the nerve to walk up to her and as I got closer,

I could see my mom for the first time. I mean she was so beautiful. She was dressed in white, I mean,

she looked liked an angel and I just stood over, I said:

How did I repay her? By getting drunk, by getting high, be getting stupid,

我怎麼報答她？喝醉、吸毒、耍蠢

by hanging out with losers. For what?

跟魯蛇混... 為了什麼？

All she ever wanted to do was talk to me.

她唯一想要的就是和我對話

I wish I could talk to you now Mom.

I wish you could see what I'm doing.

我好希望你可以看見我現在在做的事情

Why couldn't I have been a better son?

我怎麼不當一個更好的兒子呢？

We are defined by our choices.

But if you surround yourself with people involved in drugs and alcohol and pills,

it's a dead end.

I'm here to tell you I lived that life.

我是來這裡跟你說我曾經那樣活過

It leads to broken hearts, broken relationships, broken dreams and death.

那帶來了破碎的心、破碎的關係、破碎的夢想和死亡

For what? To get high?

為了什麼？吸毒吸到嗨？

If you have a mother or a father, when you go home, tell them how much you love them.

如果你有一個母親或父親，你回家的時候，跟他們說你們多愛他們

See, my whole life was about being rich and famous. I had to be a millionaire. I had to win a race.

我整個人生都在追求金錢和名聲，我想要當百萬富翁，我想要贏得比賽

I had to win the race at the expense of my marriage, my family, my friends. For what?

我不惜一切甚至放棄了我的婚姻、家人、朋友，為了什麼？

To be all alone in the world?

最後孤單一個人活在世上嗎？

I learned what is truly important, and that is,

how precious this gift of life is, and our families,

是生命本身是多麼真貴的禮物，我們的家庭也是

and how quickly it could be taken away.
