Hi, I'm Sahaj Deemra from grade 5A and today I'm going to be talking about my journey of music.

嗨，我是五年級A班的 Sahaj Deemra，今天我要跟大家分享我的音樂旅程。

I was just about three years old when I started singing.

我大概三歲的時候就開始唱歌了。

I used to sing nursery rhymes in front of the mirror and imagine myself on a big stage.

我以前會在鏡子前面唱童謠，想像自己在一個大舞臺上。

Back then, I didn't know much about music.

那時候，我對音樂沒什麼概念。

All I knew is that singing made me happy.

As I grew older, I realized something was wrong.

隨著年紀漸長，我發現有些地方不太對勁。

I couldn't hit high notes and low notes, but even harder.

我高音上不去，低音也唱不好，甚至更難。

I became frustrated and decided to stop singing altogether.

我感到很沮喪，決定乾脆不唱了。

My parents noticed my silence and encouraged me until I learned a very important lesson.

爸媽注意到我不唱歌了，他們鼓勵我，直到我學到一個很重要的功課。

It's about how good you can become if you don't give up.

而是關於如果你不放棄，你能變得多好。

國小二年級時，我加入了學校的合唱團。

I learned new songs and sang loudly and confidently.

我學了新歌，大聲又有自信地唱著。

But in grade three, I lost interest and watched others perform while I stood on the sidelines.

但到了三年級，我失去了興趣，看著別人表演，而我站在旁邊。

但接著發生了一件意想不到的事。

I felt a spark, a need, a strong urge to start singing again.

我感受到一股火花，一種渴望，一種強烈的衝動想再次唱歌。

And that's when I realized singing was my passion.

那時候我才意識到唱歌是我的熱情所在。

It lived inside me even when I wasn't singing songs.

即使我沒有在唱歌，它也一直活在我心裡。

In grade four, I finally decided to start taking music classes.

到了四年級，我終於決定要開始上音樂課程。

I visited a few music schools and liked one called Chant OK Music Academy.

我參觀了好幾間音樂教室，最後選了這間叫做 Chant OK Music Academy 的。

first, the vocal exercises were boring, but my coach believed in me.

一開始，發聲練習有點無聊，但我教練一直相信我。

接著就到了我的第一次音樂考試。

I practiced hard, but my mock exam went badly because I was unwell and I was scared.

我努力練習，但模擬考試考得很差，因為我身體不舒服而且很害怕。

I passed the final exam, but just barely.

我通過了期末考試，但真的只是差一點點。

I was disappointed even though everyone else was proud of me.

雖然大家都為我感到驕傲，但我還是有點失望。

My coach reminded me that progress is still progress.

He encouraged me to skip another level and appear for level four.

I practiced with confidence and now have successfully moved on to level 5 of music.

我帶著自信練習，現在已經順利升到音樂的五級了。

Later, I joined a new music school called Trinity Access, which is closer to my home and helps me feel more independent.

後來，我加入了一間新的音樂學校 Trinity Access，離家比較近，也讓我感覺更獨立。

When I look back, I realize that my journey of music wasn't perfect, but it was powerful.

回頭看，我發現我的音樂旅程並不完美，但卻充滿力量。

Music has taught me that even when my voice shakes, I should still sing.

音樂教會我，即使我的聲音在顫抖，我也應該繼續唱。

Because every time I do, I become a little stronger, a little braver and a little more confident.

因為每一次我這麼做，我就會變得更強壯、更大膽、更自信一點。

So if you have a dream, whether it's music, sports, art or anything else, don't give up.

所以，如果你有夢想，無論是音樂、運動、藝術還是任何事，都不要放棄。

Because sometimes the thing that you almost give up on becomes the thing that makes you shine the most.

因為有時候，你差點就要放棄的東西，反而會讓你閃閃發光。
