Also, artists, even like DJs, can come here for events.

But international students and workers who have been waiting for over a year to enter the country, they still cannot do so because Japan decided that international students, even if they successfully applied for a student visa, workers, even if the successfully received a job from a Japanese company, still cannot enter Japan for the pandemic.

But then, why Olympic athletes, media, trainers, and even artists can do so?

That must be political.

If it's safe for the Olympics to happen, if it's safe for an international DJ to come and have a music event, it has to be safe for international students who are committed to study in Japan for over a year, who invested money, time, energy to come to Japan, who are willing to learn Japanese language and be a future asset to be partnering with Japan long-term, not just coming for short-term.

It must be possible also for them to enter the country.
