Basically, because Democrats didn't bend to his will and praise him at every turn, he started trolling them and found that there were a lot of billionaires and dummies on the internet who would praise him for it. From there, he snowballed into promoting right-wing conspiracy theories, disowning his trans daughter, railing against the woke mind virus, and now throwing millions and millions of dollars behind Donald Trump.
