I can also recommend Philippa Cannella's class on how to read. I particularly like how in Lesson 7 she is talking about how the same book can appeal differently to different people, hitting the nail on the head that kind of a perfect book does not exist and that books are inherently relational to the reader. Different people will take different things away from a book and that's exactly why commonplacing from a book or grangerising a book comes into its own because it's a way to show your unique connection to a book as a reader and that's going to be different for everybody.
