- 哈啰我是阿滴，今天要来跟大家聊聊很难翻译成英文的中文。 翻译真的是一门学问，不是你中文好英文好就等于你会翻译，它是一个长时间训练跟培养的经验跟能力。 不过不管你累积多少经验，中文当中有一些单词就是非常非常难翻译成英文的，那我自己觉得呢有两种可能：第一个是它涵盖的意思太多层面了，没有办法直接对照到一个英文单字同样有这么多丰富的意思；第二是因为可能国外没有存在这些概念，所以因为文化差异呢很难把这些中文翻译成英文。 那今天呢我整理了几个我个人觉得很难翻译的中文，我也会尝试着把它们硬翻，不是硬翻，解释、解释成英文，那希望呢也可以跟大家讨论一下。 加油！加油可能是祝你好运、安慰你不要难过、勉励你可以做得更好或者是鼓励你全力以赴。 意思太多了吧，哈哈哈。啊我知道了可以说 fighting、fighting、欸不对这是韩文。 哈哈哈。如果我们把这一些意思分开来看的话，祝好运可以说 good luck，安慰人可以说 cheer up，勉励人可以说 keep it up，那鼓励人的话呢可以说 go for it。 另外一种看法呢，加油你也可以把它视为我支持你，所以呢英文的话可以说 I'm rooting for you。 靠杯！靠杯这一词应该是来自台语，它的用法真的很复杂，就是你用中文解释也很难解释你知道吗？你解释看看，就是靠杯是什么意思？ 比如说你可以叫一个人不要靠杯或者是直接形容某一个人很靠杯嘛，这好像是不同的意思。 还有很多的团队都是靠杯系列有没有？靠杯女友、靠杯男友、靠杯老公、靠杯老婆、靠杯清大、靠杯工程师、靠杯星球、靠杯星球还有靠杯星球。 英文真的没有一个字可以涵盖这么多范围，不过呢我们试试看分开来解释。靠杯当动词就是抱怨的意思嘛，那英文的话呢可以说 complain、wine 或者是 grumble。 所以如果你要叫一个人不要靠杯、不要抱怨，你可以跟他说 stop complaining、stop whining 或者是 stop grumbling。 那如果你是形容一个人很靠杯的话，意思应该是他很机车不过又有一点好笑。就这样怎么翻译？这到底要怎么翻译？ 好如果我们说一个人机车的话，可以就直接用形容词 annoying，不过不能只有机车要好笑。好，又机车又好笑。好，好 OK OK，知道怎么翻。 好我想到了，最好的解决方式就是把讨人厌 annoying 跟搞笑 funny 加在一起，变成是 annoyingly funny。 对，我就是要翻得这么烂。 孝顺！这个其实不难翻译喔，只是很难翻译得让人听得懂。孝顺的英文翻译是 filial piety。拆开来看，filial 是儿女的，那 piety 呢是尊重甚至到有一种敬畏的感觉。 为什么很难懂呢？是因为就算这样子翻译了，外国人还是很难听得懂，因为这个不是一个常见的单字。 我觉得可能是因为在我们的文化里面还蛮重视敬孝道，也就是孝顺这个观念，这个可能是在国外没有的状况。在国外小孩子都很渴望独立，可能是一成年就会搬出家自己住，只有在重大节日的时候才会跟家人聚在一起。 呃对，所以我很孝顺，我到现在都还是跟爸爸一起住。 辛苦了！好这个也是用很多状况，不过最常见的用法应该就是在感谢某人。 比如说你看阿滴每个礼拜都这么努力准时地上传影片，可能就会有人想要跟我说辛苦了。没有，不知道啦，不是，我是在说可能有人会想要这样子说嘛，对不对？ 那如果是谢谢一个人付出的努力的话，可以说 thanks for your hard work。 那还有另外一个状况呢，可能是在经过一番辛苦之后成就了某件事情，那这时候呢你可以跟他说 nice work、well done 或者是简单的 you did it。 中二！我觉得中二这个形容词也是很有层次，它包含很多的意思。 有什么呢？比如说自我中心、自以为是、幼稚，然后会想要用各式各样奇怪的方式引起你注意的，形容这样子的人。 不知道这个词是不是从日本或是韩国来的，因为在这两个语言里面都有一模一样的翻译。 春一表！日文我不会念。 哈哈哈哈。好如果你想要把以上的特质一次全部爽快地骂出来的话，你可以说 you are a self-centered, delusional, childish, attention-seeking brat。 有没有很爽快？ 或者是你可以直接使用一个最新颖的翻译用法，我们这些亚洲文化还是会影响英文，它叫做 eighth grade syndrome，也就是八年级病，就是美国版的中二病。 不是我要嘴，真的不是我要嘴，你去 Google 一下，真的有人在这样子用。 默契！所谓的默契就是有彼此深入的了解以及可以合作无间的搭配。 这个关系就像是我跟 planty、planty 这个植物 planty。 彼此的了解可以说 mutual understanding，合作无间可以说 make a great team。 好，分开来说马上就弱掉了。 是有另外一个说法 to have great chemistry with someone，来形容两个人很合得来。 不过通常来说大部分它是在形容男女之间的，所以呢如果你要形容的刚好是你跟你的伞之间的默契的话，欸你就可以用这个。 好今天讨论了这么多难翻译的中文，有没有觉得我都在硬掰呢？啊没有不是，有没有让大家解惑了呢？ 那今天讨论了这么多，应该还是有很多其他很难以翻译的中文。 如果有的话呢，可以留在下面的留言区，说不定我们可以做第二集喔。 如果你喜欢这个影片请帮我按个赞，如果你想要看到更多影片可以点这一边的按钮订阅我们的 YouTube 频道，我们每个礼拜一跟四的晚上九点都会有新影片。 那我们在 Instagram 跟 Facebook 也都有帐号，可以用阿滴英文或者是 RayduEnglish 来搜寻到我们。 And that's a wrap, thank you guys for watching as always,
