*I have been learning yoga for 3 and half a year. People around me compliment that I am flexible and good at balance. But the truth is, I cried and failed a lot all the time. Until now, I often get bruises because I fall to the ground multiple times.
I’m a bit tenacious and don’t wanna give in sth I can’t complete now. I train my muscles even if getting tired or feeling painful while I stretch my stiff body.
But yoga taught me, I can have a rest for a day or two, but never give up. My motto stems from a Japanese philosophical quote, which is “Fall 7 times, stand up 8”. (How to Find Your Talent | Tom Bilyeu | Goalcast)
All that I had was this crushing sense of being adrift at sea and not knowing how to get back to shore.
Today we're be talking about finding your talent and perhaps overcoming obstacles during that process.
I remember when I was a kid, well to be more precise, a middle school student, I had a really hard time studying.
I was always at the bottom of (最後面) my class. I had a terrible gade except for English and Mandarin obviously.
And my parents were really disappointed at me for being as I quote a failure and an embarrassment to the family.
Yat, those are some really hard stuff to deal with. Every night my dad would sit with me at the dining table and make me write all my math and chemistry tests. Meanwhile, yelling at me and telling me how much I suck until I get those problems solved.
By the time I finished, it already passed midnight. So apparently, these didn't work because I hated math and chemistry even more. My grades got worse and I started to feel like an actual failure with no talent at all.
So here's a shout-out to all the parents out there. Don't ever think the grading or shaming your children will somehow motivate them unless your parenting goal is to ruin their self-esteem.
So I believe many of you will have all struggle through finding the way towards your dreams and today's video might give you some motivation and inspiration to keep moving forward.
He felt isolated and adrift (漂泊的) which made his depression even worse.
It makes no sense.
A sense of humour 幽默感 Sense of taste 味覺 Sense of smell 嗅覺
She lost her sense of smell after that nose job(隆鼻手術), I knew it was a bad idea.

The crushing pressure (極嚴重的壓力) he experienced every day at the workplace eventually brought him down(擊敗他).

Pain is life, but you can choose what type. Either the pain on the road to success, or the pain of being haunted with regret.
