Hi guys welecome to today's Pronunciation Challenge, and my name is Kristi. So maybe some of you have seen a cartoon and it's about Atlantis, the sunken city. And today we have a TED-ED video and it's about real life sunken cities.
And... so let's take a look at today's sentence, I think this is rather interesting.

Water is essential for life, food sources, and transport, so many cities have been built along coastlines and river banks. However, these benefits also come with risks because natural forces that can sink a city are at their doorstep.

Essential (adj.)
[Job discription]=[
[Near-native English is essential.]=

Essentially (adv.)
[The David Statue is essentially one of the greatest work of all time.]=

Essence (n.)
How I met your mother"'的人呢,就會知道
["Barny" is the essence of that TV series.]=

Transport (n.)
Transportation (n.)
Transport
Transportation
[Buses and MRTs are the most common transportation in Taipei city.]=
[Emergency parcel are transported by Air.]=

Coastline (n.) 海岸線[kohst-lahyn]
Coast (n.)
[From coast to coast]=

[On the fourth of July, everyone from coast to coast is celebrating.]=

Benefit (n.)
[One of the benefit of working at a clothing store(聽不懂) is that you get discount from that store.]=

Beneficial (adj.) 有益地[ben-uh-fish-uh l]
[Exercising not only gives you a nice figure but it is also beneficial to your health.]=

Sink (v.) 下沉;(n.) 洗手槽 [singk]
[Don't put your dirty dishes in the sink, wash them right away!]=
[Sunken cities]=
[Sunken ship, e.g. Titanic]=

Think (v.)
----------

Alright, so let's take a look at today's sentence one more time :

Water is essential for life, food sources, and transport, so many cities have been built along coastlines and river banks. However, these benefits also come with risks because natural forces that can sink a city are at their doorstep.

Alright, so that's it for today's Pronunciation Challenge, remember to leave your recordings below, and I'll Challenge you guys tomorrow, Pie~(X) Bye~(O)
