Let's get into it! 開工囉! Yo, Tim, why does it seem like everybody likes curry, but nobody actually cooks at home? 嘿,咖哩好像誰都喜歡,但為什麼沒啥人自己煮呢? First of all, curry takes a long time to make, 首先,煮咖哩很花時間 and second of all, curry makes your whole house smell. 再來,你整個家裡都會是咖哩味 Ibumie! Ibumie! So you got your classic noodles. You got the seasoning powder, 裡面有經典麵條,還有調味粉 and then you got the kicker, curry paste. 還有這次的主角,咖哩醬 Any good curry has layers. Layer to the curry! Layer to the curry! 好的咖哩味道會有層次!層次!層次! Yo! That curry paste is authentic. Can I say that? YO!這咖哩醬很正宗,我沒說錯吧? Yes! You can! 當然沒錯! Can I say that? -Yes! You can! 沒錯吧?-當然! (Japanese) You must prepare, you'll have to to cut these, bell peppers. (日文)把這些甜椒都給我切了 So if you take out the seeds out of the bell pepper, and it's not hot, is it just a bell? 把籽都去掉之後就不辣了,那還算椒嗎? All the curry flavor! Without the curry labor! 正宗咖哩,輕鬆省時 Yo, Chief Shiiba-San, what's the next curry recipe? 主廚,下一道咖哩料理是? Curry fries! 咖哩薯條! Whoa!! How are you gonna do that? 哇~!要怎麼做呀! We're gonna thicken the curry. 我們要把咖哩變濃稠 Guys, how are you gonna thicken the curry? Are you gonna make it do squats? 要怎麼變呀?叫咖哩做深蹲嗎? No, we are gonna put corn starch in it. 不對,是要加入玉米澱粉 Crystal!! Crystal! So there's two main ways to thicken the curry. You add a bunch of corn starch, or you put a bunch of potatoes in. 把咖哩變濃有兩個方法,加一堆玉米澱粉或馬鈴薯 We're gonna do both. 我們兩種都加 I'm in love with the corn starch, corn starch! 我愛上了玉米澱粉!玉米澱粉! Thicken the curry! They're gonna thicken the curry! 濃咖哩!他們要弄濃咖哩! Alright, so we just cook the potatoes. Curry chicken and vegetables over rice. 蔬菜雞肉咖哩飯 Alright guys, since we've already spent the time thickening the curry, 我們剛剛已經做好濃稠咖哩醬了 all we're gonna do is pan fry some vegetables, add some chicken, 再炒點蔬菜,加點雞肉 mix it altogether, and put it over rice. 攪一攪,倒在飯上 Ibumie! Ibumie! Boo! Ibumie! Ibumie! Boo! Ibumie! Ibumie! Boo! Ibumie! Ibumie! Boo! Chicken! Boil! 雞肉!煮熟! Damn! San! That looks like you got it at the restaurant! 靠!這看起來好像餐廳買回來的! Ok, so Tim, you're about to place the curry powder into the fried rice and stir fry it together. 所以你要把咖哩粉跟炒飯一起炒? So I guess that means... 所以我猜這代表… We're going some Japanese style Penang white curry ramen! 接下來做檳城白咖哩日式拉麵! (Japanese) (日文) I got chicken broth. I got some eggs. I got some sausages. 我準備了雞肉高湯、蛋、香腸 And we're gonna put them all together with the...white curry! 然後用白咖哩將他們融為一體! (Japanese) (日文) I'm gonna assume that's some variation of... Let's dig in! 我想這味道會變成…來吃看看吧! So let's look at some of the elements we got here: 來看看這道菜裡面有什麼 the sausages, corn, bamboo shoots, 有香腸、玉米、竹筍 soy sauce, eggs, spinach, chopped onions. 醬油、蛋、菠菜、碎洋蔥 I love how you fused the Japanese elements with the Southeast Asian elements of the curry. 我喜歡你把日本料理元素與東南亞咖哩結合 It's all Asia, right? 都從亞洲來的,對吧? Alright, Tim, what surprised you about working with the Ibumei white curry? Tim,用Ibumei白咖哩料理時,有什麼讓你吃驚的嗎? It was actually really spicy.
