- okay let's see when the bus is coming what in two hours uh hey man do you think there maybe is another bus maybe coming a little earlier okay there's a couple of mysteries in that question because when you are dealing with fundamental realities so today me and my sister we're going to the ghibli store uh there are actually two ghibli very close to each other almost like right next to each other they're both in the ninenzaka and kiyomizu michi area so of course uh the link to both of them will be in the description i'm gonna show you as much as i can hopefully they will allow me to record in the store if not then you're probably not even seeing this video what's your favorite studio ghibli movie i think spirit away spirit away yeah that's a good one that's always a good choice i also like the grave of the fireflies the grave of the fireflies very sad one and so we were on our way to the first ghibli store which as you can see even the walk there is straight out of a ghibli movie even after a year of living here in kyoto i gotta say these streets will never cease to amaze me just look look the first stump the first studio ghibli store so first of all the decoration of the store itself it definitely wasn't just a place where you can buy some ghibli merchandise and that's it no the whole store was decorated with posters and artwork and statues of different ghibli characters some of the things displayed weren't even for sale it was just to add to the atmosphere and the merchandise it was anything and everything you could think of turned into ghibli so a bunch of embroidered tote bags matching bottles and lunch boxes some handkerchiefs purses pouches of course tons of plushies mainly of totoro and gg then just some bowls teapots you know utensils anything that you could slap a ghibli character on it was there i'm so happy that i'm not a kid anymore because when i was smaller i used to love all kinds of like different characters as like small figures that i would play with you know i would definitely like want to buy all of these especially this guy the radish actually i might even buy him now so here they got even totoro before he grew up oh shit looks like he grew up now god damn he's been eating good but just for scale this is totoro this is my sister here we got ponyo mystery boxes i was thinking of buying one but now that i think about it more i probably don't need one but uh you know oh yeah here they are i think oh they're so small yeah they're super small my sister is really into tote bags so she's probably gonna get one of these yeah pretty expensive so that was that we're headed to the second ghibli store location behind me you can see the world's oldest starbucks anyways yeah today is saturday which is why there's so many people not just like you know tourists and foreigners but also a lot of japanese people because this um area it's one of the most touristic spots in kyoto my sister's taking a bunch of pictures how are you liking it here so far oh finally a better reaction than it's good yeah this area is full of these you know small shops with souvenirs obviously a bunch of keychains wallets t-shirts chopsticks stuff like that um i think if you're looking for like a souvenir from kyoto this is definitely a good place to find something but a lot of the stores uh that's worth noting a lot of the stores close around like uh five to six so you know definitely come here in the afternoon not in the evening i'm sure it would be also very pretty with you know all the lights and stuff but all the stores like most of the stores are going to be closed but it's not only shops and you know stores souvenirs restaurants if you get through all of the masses of people this is what awaits for you at the top this is kiyomizudera um which is a temple so and after exploring the local streets we headed to the second ghibli shop well this store is a lot smaller than the previous one so there's probably even less like goods and probably everything that we saw in the last one so i recommend i still recommend going to both because you can get many beautiful pictures and different locations in both of the stores so even though the entrance to the second ghibli store was arguably even more beautiful than the first one as i said there was definitely a lot less merchandise so after seeing the temple we returned to the first store okay so we just went out of the ghibli store my sister bought this cute tote bag it was so hard to decide though because there was one purple and she was deciding between this one and this one so she was deciding for like 10 minutes maybe more 20 minutes maybe i bought this um mug and that concludes our ghibli store video um let us know in the comments what other things we should look for should we look for the pokemon store psych we already did you
