Nothing can be more exciting than going on a road trip in a foreign country. However, not being able to speak a fluent foreign language can sometimes make people nervous. I once traveled and drove the car myself to Ibaraki, which is a Japanese prefecture. I speak little Japanese, so, you know, I googled a few sentences and was, like, repeating them again and again in my head before going to the gas station. Although body language, a bit of English and some Kanji might help, at that moment, I truly wished that I could know some Japanese! As a result, I would like to bring y’all to this video, so that you can be like a pro if you’d like to travel to English-speaking countries. And, today’s sentence is…

1. serve: only one syllable. The vowel of this word is /ɝ/.
2. vehicle: three syllables with the stress on the first one. "ve" is /vi/, "hi" is /ə/. Notice that "h" here is a silent sound. And, "cle" is /kəl/.
