Featured sentence: So I'm gonna show you my collection of eight common informal contractions, and if you learn how to say these, you'll be sounding like a native speaker in no time.

Tips:
collection: three syllables with the stress on the second one. The vowel in the first syllable is a schwa /ə/. Remember to speak out the /k/ in "llec" in the second syllable. Lastly, "tion", /ʃən/. Again, "co-llec-tion".
informal: three syllables with the stress on the second one. "in" is the same as how we say "in". "for" is /fɔr/. There is a /r/ in it, so be sure you do pronounce it. And then, "mal" is /məl/. Altogether, "in-for-mal".
contraction: three syllables with the stress on the second one as well. "con" takes the schwa /ə/ as its vowel. Remember to pronounce the /k/ in "trac". Finally, add up "tion", just like what we mentioned above, and make it "con-trac-tion".
