Intro:
Hi everyone, it’s Tera. Today is April 14th, do you know what day it is? Just like 2/14, which is Valentine's Day, and 3/14, which is White Day, every 14th day of the month is related to love and romance. 4/14 is no exception, but in an opposite way. It’s Black Day. You might not have heard it before, but that is fine. Let me introduce it to you. Black Day is an unofficial holiday that can mostly be seen in South Korea. On this day, those who are single and did not receive gifts on the previous two holidays will get together, wear in black, celebrate, and eat jajangmyeon together. Being single can be a blessing. Being single is better than being in an unfaithful relationship, not to mention in an abusive relationship. And, this brings us to today’s theme—how to leave an abusive relationship. But before we get started, let’s take a look at today's sentence.

Featured sentence: There are many different kinds of abuse, and unhealthy relationships exist on a spectrum.

Tips:
1. abuse: two syllables with the stress on the second one. "a" is a schwa /ɚ/ sound, the vowel of "buse" is like letter "u", and then add up "s", making it "a-buse".
2. relationship: four syllables with the stress on the second one. "re" /rɪ/, "la" /leɪ/, "tion" /ʃən/, "ship" /ʃɪp/. Now let’s bring them together. "re-la-tion-ship".
3. exist: two syllables with the stress on the second one. We will separate "x" into different syllables, and thus, the first syllable will be /ɪɡ/, and the rest of the "x" sound will be joining the second syllable. So it is, /ˈzɪst/. Altogether, "ex-ist".
4. spectrum: two syllables with the stress on the first one. The first syllable, spec. p becomes /b/ when following "s", and remember to pronounce the "c" in the final. The second syllable, "trum". The vowel is pronounced as /ə/, and also, "m" is important. "spec-trum".
