Hey, VoiceTubers. This is Nina. How’s it going? Have you ever looked at a couple that fights all the time and wondered why they are still together? Well, at least I do. We often consider fighting a sign of a relationship that won't last long. But guess what? It turns out fighting with your partner doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing in relationships. No arguments or fights between lovers may be a sign of not caring anymore, rather than affection for each other. In this case, how can we fight better? Or let me put it this way, what should we do to improve our relationships through arguments? Watch today's video to learn more about fights in relationships and how to be more connected with our partners through arguments.

And today’s sentence is…

Sentence

A row may have to be the turbulent passage towards the kind of deeper reconciliation we long for.
爭吵就好像戀愛航班上經歷的亂流,讓我們能朝著內心所期望的,對彼此更深層次的和解前進。

Pronunciation tips

1. row (the pronunciation of "ow")
2. kind of (connected speech)
3. reconciliation (the pronunciation of "con" and "lia")

Vocabulary

1. row (n.) [raʊ] /raʊ/
a noisy argument or fight
爭吵,吵架
Eg. He had a row with his neighbor. 他跟鄰居發生了口角。

2. reconciliation (n.) [rɛkən͵sɪlɪˋeʃən] /ˌrek.ənˌsɪl.iˈeɪ.ʃən/
a situation in which two people or groups of people become friendly again after they have argued
和解;和好;修好
Eg. There will never be a reconciliation between them. They hate each other. 他們永遠不可能和解,他們恨透彼此了。

3. long for (ph.) [lɔŋ][fɔr] /lɑːŋ//fɔːr/
to desire greatly
渴望;渴求
Eg. Emily longs for her boyfriend's attention. Emily 渴望得到她男友的關注。

Okay, that's all for today's episode. I believe most people have been in a fight or an argument in their lifetime. When we were in a row, we got angry, we got emotional. And then, those hurtful words blurted out. We said something that we didn't mean to and ended up hurting each other. I, too, got in a fight before, and I always regret what I've said afterward. People say awful things when they lose their minds. We must remember that humans are meant to be foolish when we get emotional, and it's almost impossible not to be emotional around the people we care about. But that doesn't mean we don't love one another. It could be quite the opposite. Just remember, despite how stupid or scary one can be during a fight, they are still our loved ones, and in the end, that's what truly matters. Well, as always, don't forget to record the sentence and leave a comment down below. Hope you enjoyed today's content. I'm Nina. See you next time.

☺A row may have to be the turbulent passage towards the kind of deeper reconciliation we long for.
爭吵也許是為了讓我們在感情中能達到彼此所共同企盼的更深層和解,所必須經歷的動盪過程。
【心得】吵架很難不帶情緒,帶了情緒就很難理性溝通,甚至會口不擇言,若沒有好好善後,反而會導致彼此的關係產生裂痕。
