Today I wanna talk about reviving(v.復甦) the near extinct(a.絕種的) animals. This video {sheds light on 解釋清楚} northern white rhinos, a critically endangered([ɪnˋdendʒɚd]a.瀕臨絕種的) animal, and how scientists are doing everything they can to reproduce(v.繁殖) their kind(n.種族). Now the situation is the last male rhino died in 2018, but this video indicates that there’s still a hope to breed(v.繁殖) new white rhinos. How do they do it? Watch this video to find out. And to give you a little hints(n.暗示), here are sentence of the day: With no living males and no females able to carry a pregnancy, this is a complicated and risky process, to say the least.

This February I went to the Melbourne Museum. They have a wide variety of collections ranging from wildlife to aboriginal culture in Victoria state. Among all the exhibitions, I was drawn to the extinct animal section. There are two animal models in the glass casing. One is the Tasmanian Tiger, and the other is the pig-footed bandicoots. Not only was I fascinated by the lifelike replicas, but also a bit overwhelmed by the fact that they’re no longer with us.

There’s no way to completely cease human expansion, but perhaps knowing that species are disappearing at an alarming rate can warn those who disregard the importance of conservation that, if we continue to put our interests before other wildlife, there will be more animals forever stuck in the museum casings. And when that day comes, all we can do is mourn the loss of what could’ve been saved.

That's why I want to talk about this video. The more we care about this issue, the stronger the force we can create and pressure those with ill-intentions to stop what they’re doing, and care about the environment for once.
