【心得】病痛真的會把人煎熬得卑微而沒有尊嚴。「同意讓親友安樂死」遠比「同意讓寵物安樂死」複雜。如果你的寵物已經病入膏肓，而你決定讓寵物安樂死，周遭熟或不熟的人大概不太會有太多意見。

選擇安寧真的很重要，我們不能選擇安樂死，但是可以選擇放棄急救，放棄無效醫療，有尊嚴且安詳的離開。

好死不如賴活

不過怕的是賴活到最後還是不得好死…

多年前我家的老狗鼻子長了一顆大腫瘤
我們不想要祂承受開刀的痛
也不想擅自決定讓祂安樂死
但到現在還會偶爾想到
祂那時會不會痛到其實也很想趕快離開？
到現在還是很難接受死亡這件事
