In 1900, pigeons are use in Olympics shooting events, which was the first and the only case of live shooting. it stirred a heated backlash, and some animal rights organization mounted the campaign to stop this. Later, this force resulted in the introduction of "clay pigeon" , a shooting target in place of a real pigeon.
