  • Importantly, the answers that you can use during your interview.

  • I'm a former firefighter on I am now the owner off the interview training company past my interview dot com, and in this tutorial, we're gonna focus on my top before behavioral interview questions and answers to help you past your interview.

  • Okay, Straight into the questions.

  • Here we go.

  • Question.

  • Number one Describe a time when you went above and beyond what was required.

  • So this is a common behavioral interview.

  • Question.

  • Describe a time when you went above and beyond what was required.

  • So let me give you three tips on howto want today successfully before I give you the suggested answer.

  • Make sure you use a specific work related answer.

  • Okay, don't talk about anything outside of work.

  • Use a work related answer now, given example of when you worked additional hours.

  • That's always a really good one when you go above and beyond what is required if you, you know, if you say that you were in a situation where you did extra hours, that's a great thing for the interview panel to here.

  • And also add some kind of time contrite to come time constraint to your situations.

  • That is a bit of pressure added to it, too.

  • So here's my suggested answer to the behavioral interview question.

  • Describe a time when you went above and beyond what was required Here we go.

  • In my previous job, my manager asked for volunteers to do some work outside of normal hours are basically someone within the team have miscalculated the time it would take to complete an important project.

  • But my manager needed someone to help out, so the deadline was not missed.

  • I immediately volunteered because I knew how important it was for this project to be completed on time and to specification.

  • Now.

  • I took the work home with me that night and stayed up until 11 p.m. Working on the required task.

  • I didn't mind doing the additional work.

  • As I know the business needs good feedback from its clients.

  • And if the project deadline had been missed, there would have been negative consequences for the company.

  • The end result was the project was completed on time and to the satisfaction of the client.

  • In fact, they were so pleased with the work we did for them that they have just commissioners to do another project.

  • So that's a successful outcome where you've worked hard outside of normal hours and everybody would want to employ that kind of person.

  • Okay, Question number two, tell me about a time when you had conflict at work.

  • So we all have conflict at work, but it's how we deal with it.

  • That is important.

  • His three tips be the person who solved the conflict so you identified straight away and then you get it sorted out.

  • It's really important.

  • Show the panel You can remain calm and composed when dealing with conflict.

  • We then had an in depth discussion about the team's plans for the future and how I could help them achieve their goals now, by confronting the conflict assumes it started, I was able to turn a negative situation into a positive one, and that's the important thing with your response to this is you identify the conflict and then you sort it out.

  • I will remain resilient during stressful situations and focus on what I want to achieve dealing with stress at work is all part and parcel of everyday life, and I would always be determined seeping through to a successful resolution.

  • That's a really good answer, a specific one.

  • And then you go into detail about how you enjoy working in stressful situations.

  • Next question.

  • What's your biggest failure today?

  • Really tough one.

  • A really tough behavioral interview question.

  • But I'm gonna give you the perfect answer to this in a second.

  • What's your biggest failure to date?

  • So give an open and honest work related failure.

  • So be truthful.

  • Okay, say that you've failed because we all fail, but it's how you respond to it.

  • That's the important bit.

  • Team failures are the best type to give.

  • So if you say that we failed as a team, that is better to do than saying you did something wrong on that had a negative impact.

  • So it's a team failure that he's the better kind of response.

  • Now tell the panel what you learned from the experience and how you improved.

  • That is the key to answering his question.

  • So here's my sample Responsibly.

  • What's your biggest failure today?

  • I was working with a team on developing a project quote for an important client.

  • The contract we were trying to win was very big for our company, and a lot of work had gone into making sure our brief from Project Plan met their needs.

  • Now, if you wanna win something as a team, you have to give it your all right up until the deadline and be honest with each other about your performance.

  • I would never let something like that slip ever again.

  • That's a really good answer.

  • It's an honest one is what you're given a bit of a story and then explaining what has happened.
