hi guys today.
I want to talk about leggings.
I feel like they're one of the hardest things to shop for.
There's just so much to consider.
Namely, are they see through?
That could be the worst, especially if you're going to the gym.
Also, it might be too tight around your knees, or maybe like pancaking your bottom and just giving, like a really flat line there where there's lots of booty that could be happening.
Some leggings really disappoint me with dimpling or camel toe.
There's just so many awkward moments with leggings that could happen.
I mean, there's little things to like if I'm trail running, I like to have a place to put my keys so sometimes they'll come with a little pocket, and that's always super helpful.
And I think as a petite to it can be extremely challenging to get a pair of leggings that aren't bunching at the bottom and making it look like they're just are made for somebody else.
Not your height.
So as you guys might know, every lane just released their perform legging, and I heard about this ahead of time, so I wanted to try them early and really get a review of what I thought about them before I decided whether to do a review for you guys are not so for today's ever lean collab.
I want to review those leggings with you guys today and then also show you four different ath leisure looks that I think are gonna just help you with every day outfits, whether you're, you know, having kind of a casual day getting coffee or if you're going to the gym or anything in between.
The first pair that I requested to try was in black.
They have a few different colors, but I wanted to try the tried and true black first because I feel like they're the safest if I'm concerned about them being see through or not, and they match so many different things, so that just really helps.
But I also wanted to get to different sizes.
Generally.
When I buy leggings, I get a small but I wanted to be really safe, so I got a medium and a small.
I also decided to just stick with the medium ones because whereas the smalls looked absolutely gorgeous, the mediums are just a little bit looser and I think if I'm going to wear ath leisure looks, I think that having a looser fit is more important.
Then let's say they were too tight.
And then I'm trying to work an outfit around that it's gonna look so much better if you have a little bit more extra room for your leggings.
And because those were successful for me in black, I decided to also try the ink gray option.
So this is like a purple lee gray.
So there's some tones, like black or white male, whereas a top and the purple really comes through on these.
So if you want, like a solid gray, this will have a little bit more of a hue to it.
Then you might expect, which I actually really like.
I like it more than just having, like a flat, absolute gray look.
So that's another great option.
Also wanted to mention It does come with a little pocket on the inside, which is a better option, I think, than having a pocket on the outside where again, with the reference to trail running, I was so nervous all the time whether my, you know Mikey might fall out of my pocket.
So if you guys have any questions regarding the leggings themselves, and you can leave them in the comments and I can answer them there, so let's get on to the first look.
When I first moved to Nashville, the one thing that got me in a routine was going to the Y M C A.
Near me.
And just like getting in the public, you know, and being a part of the community.
So I would always wear leggings and a sweatshirt, this French Terry sweatshirt in this sort of canvas ivory color.
And that was an old version of this new one that I love so much.
It's very unique in the way that it's designed.
So they've updated the sleeve designed to be pleaded, and it is just the most gorgeous thing.
The sweatshirt itself looks so chic and upscale just by adding the small detail, and I do think that it's so worth trying this shirt with leggings.
You know, it's such a casual and simple look, but yet it still is very elevated in how it's got little details like this.
The cut is very clean of both the leggings and the top and then for shoes.
I wanted to add something that really matched that outfit.
So these air my ve Asia's that really match with the sweatshirt and the leggings both combined, and then on top, I'm wearing the oversized all Paco cardigan.
This one is gonna come out on the 26th I believe.
And so a little sneak peek here and I can do a full review of that in a few days on my instagram if you guys are interested in that.
But then just having that layering piece is what I want to bring to your attention for today, because in between my sweatshirt and my overcoat, I have got a little cardigan and any time that I can add a long cardigan in between a coat and whatever I'm wearing underneath just makes an outfit look more interesting.
And it's warmer, so working with thin layers, lots of thin layers can keep you warm and look very chic and elegant.
Also, if you're just a little self conscious about wearing leggings in public, if you want to like, cover your booty a little bit, then having a long cardigan is a wonderful option on top.
I wanna wear my ever lean overcoat and this is in the color camel, and then I also just want to pair a beanie and an oversized scarf with this look.
You might have seen this scarf plenty of times in my recent videos, but it's an old one that have from every lane a while back, and I can link you guys to a similar one.
And then I also just want to add, like one necklace along with my rings.
This next outfit is light gray that I'm working with, and it's really beautiful.
It's one of those colors that is often overlooked, but its subtlety is really a beauty.
So this is a sweater that I have in Heather Chai that I'm trying now in this light gray, and I'm just so in love with the tone of it on.
And then I also want to incorporate that color into a few other pieces, so I will first want to layer on some more black, just for contrast.
So this is the drape trench coat.
I have had this one in navy, and I got it in an extra small.
This time I'm trying it in a small and I feel like that oversized component to the trench coat is just a really beautiful option.
And then, on top of that, I'm gonna add an oversized scarf.
So this is the blanket scarf, and it literally is the size of a blanket.
Like if I was going camping, I would bring this with me and I would wear it.
You know, after I was done sleeping with it, I could just, like, put it around my neck and be about my day.
So it's a wool cashmere blend, and it's in that light heather gray color that was exactly matching the sweater before for shoes.
I'm going with the boss boot for a really edgy look, and I also could wear sneakers here.
But just having that edge is really cool.
And then to top this outfit off, I'm going to wear a white beanie.
So this is like just off why it's not, like, really, really starch white or anything.
But just having that accessory, that is white just makes the whole outfit really look unique.
It brings out those gray tones more than it would have without it, uh, and altogether.
I love the edgy look of this, and it's ironic with the oversized piece is, the third look is all black, and that's always one of my tips.
When looking taller, you want to look taller and slimmer.
You gotta go with monochrome so head to toe I want to wear as much of the same color as possible.
So since the leggings are black, I want to try.
Ah, black sweater.
So that's the sweatshirt that I'm wearing right now, and it's in this teddy material.
Like when I felt this, I was like, Oh, my gosh is so soft like it feels like a teddy bear.
So I also like the fact that it's not necessarily like picking up very much like here.
If you guys have any dogs or cats, you'll know the struggle that's there, and I'm not really seeing a lot of that, which is such a cool thing for a texture like this.
I'm sure it won't be foolproof, but so far so good for a really casual ath leisure outfits.
I also want to add just having those sneakers on again, and then also I want tohave Ah, what is considered one of my most casual and warmest coats.
I love the fact that this puffer, which is I think right now they have a similar option compared to this one, which is like a year, maybe two years old at this point, don't remember.
But having something warm like that lets a puffer is such a great option, and it works well with leggings.
Works well with having a sweatshirt underneath.
I think if you do go with a puffer coat, though, having a cropped option unless it's like all the way down to the floor like that in between, ranges are not as flattering.
So having that cropped option is excellent, so I will link you guys to their current option, and I believe it's on sale right now as to choose what you pay.
I want to talk this outfit off with that beanie again.
I'm having just a white beanie is going to elevate this look make it not all black per se, and then I am going to just add one necklace because it's not going to harm anything.
But I will definitely say that I wore this coat to the gym all the time last March and it was so nice to have, and you know you can just carry a few things you need in your pockets and you're out the door.
And then finally, before the sun sets, Hopefully I just want to review this one last outfit, which is a cotton mock net crop sweater.
And it is so cool because it's very thin in the way that it's knit together.
And I also think that it drapes incredibly well for shoes.
I want to try those boss boots again with this outfit because as I build it, I want it to have a little bit more of a refinement in a chic vibe than having just the sneakers again.
So for this outfit to, I'm going to be adding my overcoat that is in charcoal, and you guys know I love to have my black oversized scarf with that, but also I want to add a baseball cap so this baseball cap is in all white.
I have been living by my black version of this hat, but having the white option is going to give it a little bit more of a springtime look as we move from having those winter months into springtime.
And it's so cool to wear right now to like, If you can pull it off with an outfit like this, you're gonna feel chic.
You're gonna feel ready for anything and comfortable because you're wearing leggings after all.
So again, if you guys have any questions regarding the leggings, I can answer those in the comments below.
But overall, I am a fan, and it felt like it was something worth reviewing and sharing with you guys after I tried them.
So I am really happy with them.
I am very picky about my leggings, and having this new option is going to really help me.
I'm just sort of expand my leggings collection and have more options when it comes to ath leisure and work out here.
So if you like this video, be sure to give it a thumbs up.
And thank you so much ever lane for sponsoring this video and I'll see you guys next week.
Bye.
So can I.
Two.
