  • What if you knew,

  • without a shadow of a doubt

  • that your mind was never ever,

  • ever, going to stop thinking?

  • Hi there!

  • My name is Max Simon

  • and welcome to the Big Vision Show.

  • This is all about how you can reach

  • more people and thrive financially.

  • So just about every week,

  • I talk to very successful entrepreneurs

  • and people that are,

  • you know,

  • making millions of dollars

  • and there's one quality

  • that you may not know about

  • that most of them face

  • that's just like you.

  • And that's that they're constantly

  • saying to themselves,

  • "I'm not far enough for long,"

  • "I should be doing more,"

  • "I'm not successful enough."

  • Do you have those thoughts too?

  • Yeah me too, we've all have them.

  • But instead of taking

  • the typical positive psychology approach

  • which is just to replace

  • those thoughts with a more

  • positive one like, "That's not true."

  • What if you took a completely different

  • angle altogether and realized

  • that your mind is never ever,

  • ever, going to stop thinking?

  • And if you knew that to be true,

  • which probably some part of it does,

  • what would you do?

  • Well, here's what I do.

  • First, I realize that those thoughts

  • like all thoughts are just thoughts.

  • That's a Twittable, huh?

  • Those thoughts like all thoughts

  • are just thoughts.

  • And what that means is that

  • whether it's a good thought

  • or a bad thought or a right thought

  • or a wrong thought,

  • I know not to put so much emphasis

  • on believing those thoughts to be true.

  • So it's time to be into actually

  • just question whether

  • or not those thoughts have

  • any validity in the world.

  • The second thing I do is to

  • esist the urge to do more.

  • You see,

  • usually when I have that thought

  • "I should be more successful than I am"

  • it causes me to go

  • into this unconcious place of,

  • "I need to work harder,"

  • "I need to struggle more,"

  • "I need to push"

  • and that energy almost never,

  • no, pretty much never,

  • actually helps me get any better results,

  • which brings me to the third step

  • which is to shift from

  • outcome focus to journey focus.

  • You see, when you're always thinking

  • about where you should be

  • and what should be happening,

  • you're future focused.

  • What I've found is a much more

  • enjoyable place to be,

  • is to be journey focused.

  • As what I'm doing

  • right now in my journey,

  • really fulfilling and exciting is

  • what I'm doing right now,

  • aligned with what I most

  • want to be doing.

  • And what it does is it gives me

  • the power right in this moment to decide,

  • is this thing that I'm doing right now

  • actually what I want to be doing?

  • Because when I focus on what I love,

  • then I actually don't worry

  • so much about the future.

  • So you have to shift

  • from outcome focus to journey focus,

  • which brings me to the final step

  • which ties all this back together.

  • If you knew without

  • a shadow of a doubt

  • that your mind was never,

  • ever, going to stop thinking,

  • seems like it's a much better strategy

  • to stop relying on it to tell you

  • that you're doing things right.

  • It's important to realize

  • that what you desire

  • whether it's to feel successful enough,

  • to feel wealthy enough,

  • to feel accomplished enough.

  • Those energies are simply feelings,

  • you're actually not seeking outcome

  • you're seeking the feeling.

  • And those feelings are available

  • to you right now at any time

  • when you can turn your attention to them.

  • So what would you do?

  • What would you do if realize

  • that your mind was never

  • going to stop thinking, ever?

  • And are you able to turn your awareness

  • to feeling successful

  • and accomplished enough right now?

  • Now I know many people

  • are going to argue with me

  • that if you're not always doing

  • and taking action that your business

  • will not be successful

  • but my argument back to that is that,

  • you're not very successful

  • when the energy in the fuel of what

  • you're doing comes from a place

  • of not feeling like enough.
