  • Hey, guys, what's going on?

  • Get the gas station now.

  • It's Ah, It's only 6 a.m. In the morning, actually.

  • Still pretty dark, but we're heading two senior. 00:00:59.460 --> 00:01:6.250 That's the place where I'm gonna be running the race with an hour in six minutes, to be exact from here. 00:01:6.910 --> 00:01:8.980 So, uh, yeah, Feeling good? 00:01:8.990 --> 00:01:11.230 I think I'm ready for this race.

  • And you're just trying to get some gas.

  • And, uh, well, see you guys in senior point.

  • So we're almost here. 00:02:0.040 --> 00:02:0.310 Yeah. 00:02:3.540 --> 00:02:3.750 All right.

  • Swatches for Daddy.

  • He's gonna be coming soon.

  • Hey, guys, what's going on?

  • So it's been two days since the race day and still feeling pretty sore, but I think my body is recovering very well.

  • I actually ran, like, 1/2 an hour today.

  • I'm feeling great.

  • So someone 30 half marathon has ended. 00:02:59.150 --> 00:03:0.680 It ended very well. 00:03:1.650 --> 00:03:7.600 I feel Of course, I feel amazing because I hit my goal, But a race was snapped. 00:03:7.710 --> 00:03:8.660 An easy race. 00:03:8.670 --> 00:03:11.950 That was a really hard earned P r for me.

  • So what happened?

  • Waas, um, the day before the race check my email just to get specific directions going to the location, and then I just noticed that they actually change the location and then the course, just really hoping that the the new course would be a little bit easier than the original course.

  • Because, like I said, the original course was some rolling hills and out and back, and the course was just like a pretty challenging course.

  • So it was actually completely opposite when we started a race that even like mild, too.

  • And then we were already facing some, like major hills. 00:03:57.210 --> 00:04:3.780 I said, like, this is interesting and the horse running like I would say though 6 50 pace. 00:04:3.910 --> 00:04:8.510 But the pace felt like pretty hard for me. 00:04:8.520 --> 00:04:19.350 And I know that I shouldn't be feeling that way because, like on my training, I was like running like, even below six forties and didn't feel like that way.

  • So I know that I was not running fast.

  • It waas from like those hills, then, yeah, as we went on, we were just like facing us after hills after Hills and I was like, almost in a panic mode.

  • It's because I said like this scores is like really hard and, um, at that point, like like I said, I was in a panic mode, like thinking that I don't really know the scores.

  • And there seemed to be like real hard.

  • Was that even like a 10 K mark?

  • And it was already like struggling. 00:04:55.030 --> 00:05:5.570 It's like it's not because of the fast basis because of like those giant hills and then Miles five, I decided, Like I said, I really need to make a decision from here. 00:05:5.580 --> 00:05:10.140 I need to be very efficient in order for me to get a really good time.

  • And I just, you know, I just need to focus.

  • It was not been like 10 k.

  • I took my jail and then I said, like, I really have to maybe, like, push the pace a little bit.

  • Legs were starting to get like, really like heavy, too, because of those hills.

  • So after five miles, I I actually took the jail and then I just like pushing the pace a little bit and I was feeling a little bit better.

  • But of course, like I was extorting more effort, maybe just tried to get that like, heavy legs and then after that I can get a like a steady pace again.

  • But then the good thing, though, after like I would say, like seven Mount 78 So this guy was running and then we were kind of like You're running pretty much the same pace.

  • And then I just like around with him and then started, like talking to him a little bit about the course, and he was also like saying, This is like a really challenging course said like, he does this race pretty much every year and the original course, It's actually a little bit easier than this, actually living the full marathon.

  • So I said, like good luck.

  • I was like, actually a big help for me because, like if I can see someone that running the same pace us, me like I would just like steak with a person feels a little bit easier, like mentally and like it's because like, it's almost like you're helping out each other.

  • So we did, and they started talking, so we felt like a little bit more comfortable.

  • Ask him when are we gonna like break apart?

  • Because I know that the full marathon is like it's gonna go separate direction, like at a certain distance.

  • So I said, like a mountain so it will reach, like, mild 10.

  • And I was like, feeling a little bit better and think I had that second wind and we were a little bit like, easier like sections of the course. 00:06:58.810 --> 00:07:2.500 It was a little bit flattered, and I felt good. 00:07:2.510 --> 00:07:5.080 I was like, running a little bit better. 00:07:5.080 --> 00:07:10.740 And then almost like I was set, making like a big gap from him.

  • And I just told him like I'm gonna push myself.

  • This is gonna be the last five gave the race, and for me, this is like a make or break.

  • I think if I can maybe push myself a little bit better, I think I can get a better time.

  • I told him like I'm gonna push myself.

  • And I told him, like good luck in your race.

  • So I was feeling good because that section was actually pretty flat and then dropping 6 30 pays in, even like six twenties.

  • And I was just feeling good because it was almost like, 10 miles of like, grinding.

  • And then when, you know, I felt that flat section of the course, it felt so good.

  • But it was just pushing the face hard and then so like one of the runners.

  • And then I asked her, Are we done with the hills? 00:07:57.120 --> 00:08:6.950 And then she said, like, actually said, Yeah, this is basically flat course for the finish line and she also told me that there's gonna be a little bit downhill in the end. 00:08:7.340 --> 00:08:13.340 So it helped me a lot because of what you told me, and I was just like, keep pushing the base.

  • I was feeling good, and then she actually lied to me.

  • There was still, like, one major hill of the end.

  • But I said, It doesn't matter because I'm getting really close to finishing this race.

  • So I just get pushing it pushing.

  • It's only like half of my left.

  • I think I got so tired from, like pushing the pace and the Yeah, I was I was exhausted, But I said like, uh, I'm gonna get like, a pretty good time if I keep doing this S o.

  • I was feeling tired and I should see at the end of the finish line, I almost passed out.

  • It's because I always do that like I'm never tired of him.

  • Um, see the clock.

  • I would just lay everything.

  • That's why I always feel like I'm always gonna pass out at the end.

  • Because I always do that. 00:08:58.740 --> 00:09:0.400 And I think, Yeah, Run. 00:09:0.400 --> 00:09:5.110 I think the last five gay like 20 minutes, which is, like, really solid five gay. 00:09:5.480 --> 00:09:12.850 So official time is one hour, 28 minutes, 22 seconds, which is like a really solid PR for me.
