  • And right now it's over there.

  • Obviously, this is not the kid.

  • Uh, it's over there.

  • I just put some top coat on it, and then I'm gonna go ahead and maybe do just a little bit of weathering on it.

  • But for now, let's work on the base.

  • So the reason why I have this little, uh, shelf kind of drawer little thing here is because this is what I'm gonna turn into the base.

  • This is just from something from die.

  • So I believe it was from Di Sicilia agencies with 3000 Korean one, which makes it less just under $3.

  • Basically, I'm just going to take out the shelves, and this is going to act as our base here.

  • Now, as it is, it don't really quite like this, like, kind of oranges color.

  • Although, I suppose, like, sort of orange ish are like warm color does fit for Sha're mobile suits should be kind of pink or red or something. 00:00:57.810 --> 00:01:1.130 But also, it's got this big made in China thing over here on the side. 00:01:1.130 --> 00:01:7.450 So what I'm gonna do is just to give this some good sanding on and that's not actually like, I think that's just, like, printed on their sink or something. 00:01:7.450 --> 00:01:15.720 So that should come out, and we also should get rid of, ah, the majority of this stain on here and then we can kind of see where we're gonna go from there.

  • So let's get some sanding on this first, shall we?

  • All right, so a little while later, and a good wipe down to get the dust off it is Maur offing and see, I got most of the made in China off there, but what I'm gonna do a little bit of some kind of painting on this, we'll get back to that.

  • Well, I want to do now is make the top part of the base.

  • So I'm gonna cover the top here with a piece of plot plate that we can then kind of describe on and do some painting on stuff like this.

  • The top is not actually gonna be what it's gonna be like kind of normal.

  • Um, like, uh, finger base or runway?

  • Sort of Look to that.

  • So lucky.

  • I just happen to have this piece of property, which is almost the right size.

  • Well, could I just use it like that and not could it all. 00:01:59.160 --> 00:02:5.210 Now I'm gonna go ahead and cut it a little bit just so that it fits the proper size. 00:02:5.220 --> 00:02:11.420 So can just lay this down on here and just line it up and mark it up.

  • Cut it up.

  • Here we go.

  • All good.

  • And he's got my trusty tummy, a plastic scribe, or to use for just slicing plum plate.

  • All right, so then there we go.

  • That is cut to size than that Will just fit on to the top of their like so.

  • But we need to just prepare the plot.

  • But I'm just gonna go ahead and run a file across the sides here just to get the edges all nice and flags against.

  • See how well you can see.

  • It's kind of a little bit rough here on the side.

  • I think it starts from, of course, just I broke the peace off. 00:02:55.860 --> 00:03:3.120 Anyway, So, uh, file up the side a little bit, and then this is, like, kind of public has a little bit kind of Maur, Matt Side of more glossy side. 00:03:3.120 --> 00:03:6.540 But either way, I'll probably just go with the mat size, and it's already kind of matter. 00:03:6.540 --> 00:03:11.770 I need to just stand this a bit just to get it prepped, and then we can do a little bit ascribing on here, too.

  • So All right, this thing is all nice.

  • Smooth and crispy.

  • No.

  • Now, let's draw some lines on here.

  • Describe him out.

  • So, uh, I've been poring over this and thinking about how I want to do it.

  • You know, it's kind of like it's kind of like when you're doing decals without a detailed guide.

  • You spend a lot of time just looking at it and not really to anything.

  • Eso I've been thinking about it, and I think I'm just gonna keep it simple.

  • I don't not gonna get anything.

  • I'm not gonna do anything too crazy.

  • I'm just gonna keep a simple scribe a couple of lines on there, and then we'll also add some more to just buy things like when I do the painting out masks some sections and do like some other kind of like design on there just with the whole painting of the also that also added a letter layer to it.

  • So all right, so let's just describe some lines here. 00:03:58.960 --> 00:04:0.250 It's just gonna draw him out. 00:04:7.680 --> 00:04:13.330 All right, So it is like said, pretty simple, just a few lines on there, So I'm just gonna go ahead and use this.

  • Sees my BMC chisel.

  • I'm going to use this time that my matter works.

  • One just goes simple.

  • Easiest is the 10.3 millimeter chisel and okay, that is all done.

  • And it's kind of hard to see.

  • So we're just gonna tested out through a little panel liner and there, see how it looks.

  • I did a couple of the lines in, like the to kind of main lines down inside there in 6.6 millimeters, A little bit larger sellers, two different sized lines on.

  • They're just going to drop this in, especially in the corners. 00:04:56.140 --> 00:05:2.150 Make sure I didn't go over any of the corners, do something. 00:05:2.620 --> 00:05:11.950 Resending and I don't know further further work to make sure that everything's all good, but looks pretty good.

  • Yeah, I think it's fine.

  • So I'm gonna just give this a wash again, just with some soap and water.

  • Just gonna wash it down so that all the dust and oil and everything's off of it, and then we'll head over and spray paint on it.

  • But, yo, we're waiting for that to dry water in my cup.

  • A little bit of just some generic red acrylic paint, which is pretty old, but, uh, it just doesn't feel totally solid.

  • Mean feels fine.

  • So it should work.

  • And I'm gonna paint, uh, just this the sides with a little bit of red here, but something super.

  • It wasn't some white paint on their what that's about, but it's not gonna be a super red.

  • I want to be a kind of watered down. 00:05:55.000 --> 00:06:0.270 So you're still seeing like the wood in there basically giving it. 00:06:0.280 --> 00:06:3.400 Just read a stain with some acrylic paint. 00:06:3.980 --> 00:06:5.710 That's I've done this before. 00:06:5.720 --> 00:06:14.250 Not with red, of course, but, uh, just with gray and white on, like a couple of recent Little Mac, a 1 3/5 scale little vignette.

  • Things that I made decided that to be entirely honest, the guy's not sure how this is gonna turn out if I'm gonna really like it or not.

  • But we're just gonna try it and see.

  • All right.

  • Well, there it is for the time being.

  • Anyway, I put a few coats on there just to get it nice and bright red.

  • Not sure how I feel about that.

  • I'll let it dry.

  • And then, you know, once we have the actual base apart for the top here covered up, we'll see how it looks. 00:06:53.340 --> 00:07:2.050 What I may end up doing, I'm thinking now is maybe later on just going over and giving it a light standing again just to kind of bring back some of the wood. 00:07:2.050 --> 00:07:2.790 I don't you know what I mean? 00:07:3.130 --> 00:07:8.390 So I'm not exactly sure what that's called, but you guys that I'm talking about, so we'll see about that for the time being. 00:07:8.390 --> 00:07:13.380 This is done, and I think we can go over and paint on the base now.

  • All right, that's done.

  • I want to do a little bit of masking on here to stew some kind of cool designs.

  • So let's get to it. 00:07:54.670 --> 00:08:4.070 Ah, basically, as you know, with masking, you wanna stick them asking, Take tape to something else first. 00:08:4.070 --> 00:08:9.550 Before you stick it on there just so is less of a chance that's gonna peel a penny of your paint, especially if it's really sticky. 00:08:9.550 --> 00:08:9.830 One. 00:08:9.830 --> 00:08:11.350 Like like this one here.

  • All right, so we're almost done here.

  • The kid is just got its final topcoats.

  • That just needs to be put together.

  • But we're just gonna finish up the base.

  • I want to put a few decals on here.

  • So just got these air.

  • Just some D l model decals.

  • That is some Chinese bootleg decals.

  • But they're good or just for some kind of symbol stuff for some basis. 00:09:59.000 --> 00:10:0.480 So that's why I'm gonna use these four. 00:10:0.890 --> 00:10:1.170 All right? 00:10:1.180 --> 00:10:4.090 And then, for the moment, that is now done. 00:10:4.100 --> 00:10:7.600 I do want to do a little bit of, like, weathering Washington. 00:10:7.600 --> 00:10:16.840 I did the panel lining already, but I just want to make this look a little bit dirty, like it's actually like in years, But well, that stuff's a little drive.

  • The last thing we're gonna need here is the M s figure 01 Desire one of 44 skills like crew figures.

  • There's some character Theo years on here.

  • One that's kind of looks like barely very ments to be sailor into the one tomorrow in, uh, violet suit.

  • But anyway, yeah, they're the same ones that Brenda has available in 1 44 and 1 100 scales.

  • I've used one a couple of the 1 100 scale ones in a few different things.

  • But I haven't used any of these women 44 scale ones yet, but they're all exactly the same.

  • So let's see.

And right now it's over there.
