  • Let's do it again.

  • So welcome back, adventurers.

  • So today I'm gonna recap with you about the l A marathon.

  • I did my first l A marathon on Sunday.

  • That was two days ago and Oh, my God.

  • It was a blast.

  • It was quite a rush.

  • I was very nervous going into it.

  • But, you know, in the end, I pr I beat my best marathon time by 30 minutes.

  • I came this close to sub four and I just had a really great time.

  • I had so much fun afterwards.

  • It was an amazing event.

  • It was a beautiful course, and the volunteers were great.

  • I mean, I don't know what else I could say.

  • Besides, it's fun.

  • That's a joke.

  • That's a lie.

  • I have a lot I can say.

  • So when I started out, I posted my race strategy video.

  • I said I was going to take it slow, and then I got to the course and everything flew out the window.

  • I, uh, I'm always a fairly conservative person when it comes to racing.

  • I'm a fairly conservative person.

  • When it comes to training, I try and do things the right way.

  • And this time I just kind of wanted to go all out, so I started out a lot faster than I should have.

  • I was very tired.

  • By mile 12.

  • I got my best half marathon time ever.

  • I knew that I was on course for a PR, but I also knew that I might have burned myself out.

  • I got Thio Mile 16 and I was still just hanging in.

  • You know, I only have 10 miles left.

  • Got to Mile 20 and oh my God, I tried to just put as many calories as I could and myself, but I didn't wanna have to me stomach issues and have to keep stopping for the bathroom.

  • I met up with my really good friend around Mile 23.

  • She is a runner extraordinaire, and she had been running like four or five people into the finish line, pacing them on the course, and she caught up with me and pulled me through.

  • I just imagined that she was running the race for me, and I was just coasting behind her, and I tried not to let my legs stop moving for that last 30 minutes, three miles and just just keep going um, way made it.

  • I crossed the finish line and to my surprise, had enough fuel in the tank to sprint the last, like 10 feet, letting out this like animal yellow.

  • And it felt so good to be done.

  • It was hell on the course for those last 10 miles.

  • My feet were burning, my legs hurt, but I embraced it.

  • I knew that this was what it was supposed to feel like.

  • I was supposed to be in pain, even though this was just a marathon distance wise, I feel like it's the first race where I really felt like I am an ultra runner.

  • I got a huge blister on my toe at, like, mild 10.

  • And then you had a long way to go and I was just gonna have to run through it.

  • My legs were tight and in pain.

  • I know.

  • I was just gonna have to run through that.

  • I felt like I was gonna die.

  • I can't thinking to myself I'm gonna die.

  • I'm gonna die.

  • I'm dying.

  • But I knew obviously that wasn't true.

  • I knew that I could keep going, and I told myself, You're just gonna have to keep pushing dig deep, dig deep was what I repeated to myself.

  • That was my mantra for this race was dig deep because I knew that I could do it.

  • So no matter where you're at in your training, no matter where you're at with your racing, find that strength inside of you because that's gonna be what pulls you through the course and makes you hate all of your goals in all of your records all year.

  • All your dreams, all your all your fun.

  • Use that and just run your heart out.

  • I also feel better than I have after any race, and I'm gonna attribute that to my diet.

  • I mean, it could be a number of factors.

  • I am just doing smarter training and running more hills and, uh, more speed work into my training program as well.

  • A cz strengthening.

  • But I feel really great.

  • In fact, I'm doing two auditions today.

  • Call back, wish me luck where I have to run and I have to sprint.

  • And even though I'm still in a little bit of pain, I feel like I could do this.

Let's do it again.
