  • Now we've taken a look at AM these FX chips before on Bill budget peces based on them in the past, since the launch of Rise in the old Becerra see, abuse have plummeted in value, and this makes them very tempting, especially when you consider that they use motherboards that utilize DDR three RAM, which is, of course, a lot cheaper than the new It DDR four and has been for quite some time.

  • As for the trips themselves, it's not hard to find even the FX 83 51 of the best in the range for way less than £100 or dollars.

  • And they're actually cheaper to buy new on a lot of sites as opposed to used.

  • So is it still worth it for gaming on def, you have one.

  • Should you upgrade?

  • Well, let's look at the specs, and then we'll test out some games.

  • So the FX 83 50 is an eight core CPU clocked at four gigahertz, and I chose to talk about this one because it's one of the best FX process is available and appears to be one of the most common still available.

  • New at least here in the UK it's on the A M three plus sockets and sports or 125.

  • What TDP.

  • It's also unlocked when it comes to gaming and paired with a duty X 10 60.

  • It will still fair quite well, a 10 80 p.

  • That being said, I think a 10 60 or Rx 5 70 are probably the highest you'd want to go in terms of graphical power, you could use something higher, but at that point there would be more instances where by the CBU would become more of a bottleneck.

  • As you can see from the titles played today, you should be able to maintain steady frame rates, even its stock speeds there.

  • In some cases, there were instances of stutter liking.

  • Kingdom come Deliverance, which does perform a little better these days, though thanks to performance patches.

  • The same could be said for pup G.

  • With that said, considering the CPU came out in 2012 I think it doesn't okay job.

  • To be honest, though, as I said before, pairing it with anything more powerful GPU wise, I wouldn't make too much sense.

  • And if you have a card like this, then consider upgrading the process, sir, and not the GPU if you're seeing any performance issues, of course, the FX 83 50 isn't the only FX in the Siri's even cheaper now over 6000 and 4000 options to have tested those in the past as well, like the 63 50 and found that they can still play games quite well.

  • Granted, you will see improvements with new Am DCP use like the rise in range, The ethics range were never celebrated, and they are even hated by some.

  • But as a cheap way into the world of PC gaming, they do suffice.

  • Arising.

  • Three would be a better option if you are starting a new build and don't mind paying more for DDR for Ram, think of it as a long term investment because you will thank yourself later on, especially if you ever come to upgrade it to a rise in five or rise and seven.

  • Another example of why you might want to buy one is if you're running an older FX 4000 chip, and it's starting to struggle in multi threaded applications.

  • If you don't have the money to start fresh on an entirely new socket, then you could sell your old CPU and put the money towards the FX 83 50.

  • Or you could sell your whole system and put it toward a rise in 3 22 100 G or 1200 build.

  • If you already own an FX and you're satisfied with performance, then hold on to it until it can gain no more.

  • If it was me, I wouldn't build a new FX based system before considering what use deal was.

  • There are out there on alternatives.

  • But it is nice to see that the old pole driver architecture's still has some fight left in it, and we'll make light work of even some of the newest games out there.

  • Also, with prices like these on some used markets, it's not impossible to see why you may want to go for a build featuring that CPU like this to save quite a bit of money.

  • Okay, so let's signal the subject of Bottle Necking for a second is the FX 83 50 capable of running Margie games when paired with a card like a GTX 10 60 Well, yes, it is.

  • You should be able to obtain 60 frames per second at 10 80 p in a lot of titles.

  • Depending, of course, on the settings that you want to play at.

  • Is it worth buying an FX 83 50 in 2018?

  • Brand new?

  • Well, probably not.

  • Considering how close it is in price to say it used rising 3 1200 although with the option, you will have to buy into the more expensive DDR four RAM.

  • But it is worth, in my opinion, for those future upgrade parts with an FX 83 50 you can't really go that much higher.

  • Buying an FX 83 70 wouldn't make that much difference.

  • But if you buy into the AM for platform, you can get a rise in 3 1200 now or 2200 G and perhaps upgrade to a rise in five or even seven later on.

  • So what about if you have an ethics 83 50 currently in your system?

  • Well, as I'm sure, you probably know, you still can play a lot of the latest games hassle free, and if you wanted to find a suitable upgrade from that position.

  • Then I would suggest opting for a rise and five, as opposed to a rise in three, which won't be as much of an upgrade as it will sort of a step sideways.

  • Even the rise of 5 1400 would prove to be a nice boost over the 8300 Siri's from a m.

  • D.

  • As for this video, I hope you've enjoyed it.

  • This look back at the 83 50 and whether or not it's still a suitable option if you didn't even like down below, never dislike.

  • If you didn't let me know if you still use one of PCP use or something else from the ethics series in your PC and how it works for you.

  • Onder subscribe to the channel if you haven't done so already.

  • Thank you for watching and I'll see you all again.
