Blood Lad was written by manga author
Yuuki Kodama. Written from September 4th, 2009 and is still ongoing
with nine volumes out, then on July 7 2013
it was adapted into anime series which ended
in September 8 2013 with 10 episodes
it was created by studio Brain's Base and is licensed by Viz
media let's begin with the story
Blood Lad
has very interesting but a simplistic storyline it involves
a Demon "vampire" who lives in the demon world who's boss
of the eastern territory of the demon world known as
Staz C. Blood who is
a otaku freak so one day a human girl
appears in the demon world mysteriously and after finding out she is actually from
Japan their territory is attacked by a dude that is selling man-eating
plants who after Staz kills the dude off
comes to find out that the
girl name Fuyumi is now dead from being eaten by the
man-eating plant and she has become a ghost so Staz vow's
to bring her back to life. let's get on to the characters
the characters is actually big cast
so let's begin with Staz. Staz is a vampire who
is obsessive with anything that comes from Japan
collecting anything that's from anime, manga,
video games, action figures, anything that you could ever imagine
of a otaku's dream then you have you Fuyumi
a innocent Japanese
high school girl who becomes a ghost after being killed in the demon world
who follows Staz around
in order to be brought back to life though she ends up being kidnapped most of the time
and/ or being left behind by Staz
now I can continue on and on about the characters but
then this review will be a long while
so let's go to the animation. the animation is actually
quite stunning actually but not too great like Attack on Titan
animation or anything that I've seen so far it's a 2013 anime
so it is quite good and is quite colorful
but it's not fluid.
Now the acting is pretty good, but at the time of this video there's no
official dubs
yet. Subs did a phenomenal job
you can tell the actors were having a very fun time doing this
now the OST of the anime
there's nothing really much to talk about except for its
ending and opening the opening song is VIVID
from May'n. opening is actually quite good but for the rest of the
soundtrack kinda average
not the best I've seen but it's okay.
Blood Lad is actually
a very enjoyable series and I enjoyed every last second of it
though I did have problems on how it ended
especially with the episodes doing what High School of the Dead did
ending on cliffhangers but I do recommend show
it is a comedy anime but at the same time it is a
seinen anime meaning it is adult humor so
I can't really recommend for a younger audience but if your
over the age of 16 I can recommend you the show for you.
it should second season cuz
it's a shame for it to end right here cuz it is
very good now
