A class clown is a student who often deliberately ... so on purpose, makes a lot of jokes to entertain the class. Yeah. Probably like every day. Maybe he'll do ... very often he'll probably mostly yell things out, but he may do anything funny to try to make the class laugh. Maybe he enjoys it. He maybe gets a little bit of a kick out of it. And he does it a lot. That's what we call this. You know, often very often most students might have one class clown. So that's what a class clown is. Okay. Let's continue. Class clowns are often witty. You know, because they could usually think of funny things to say right away. But may or may not be a disturbance or annoyance to a teacher. It all depends depends on the whole environment. It depends on the whole situation. If the student doesn't go too far and do it too often and really stop or interfere with teaching. The teacher may not mind. You know, the student may be comic relief. Every now and then say something funny. You know, put everybody into relaxed mood and maybe even the teacher might find some of the things that does or says funny too. But if he goes overboard , maybe he could get into trouble. If he goes it does it too much or it goes too far or just tries to make all jokes all the time where you know, it's actually disturbing the class. So it all depends. It's a case-by-case basis. All right. Let's continue. The word clown itself has been used since the 1600s to describe a professional fool. Yeah. I remember like in the Middle Ages they used to have a , a guy that was like a jester for the king and the Queen and the nobles. Okay. And it took on the meaning of someone who acts inappropriately in the 1920's. So you can call another person a clown. Sometimes kind of as an insult or like somebody's a joke or a worthless person. He could be kind of like a clown too. It is therefore natural to eventually have the term class clown for a particular student that often tries to make the class laugh. So they eventually started using it for that that's a class clown. Okay. Good. And we just have two examples to finish up here. Example number one. Jack used to be known or maybe he had a reputation for to be known as the class clown in grammar school. Okay. Good. and number two here. The teacher told his mother that Joey is the class clown. I don't know if your parent is that a good thing or not. I'm not sure. It all depends. Okay. Anyway I hope you got it . I hope it was clear. I hope it was informative. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
