What was important for me in telling the next chapter of Maleficent was to continue exploring the relationship between Aurora and Maleficent.

I think that the lot of... at least my fascination with Maleficent is that she's unpredictable.

And of course, all this is shot inside on a soundstage at Pinewood Studios outside of London, and so everything you see here going into this, this is all computer animated.

We spent a long time researching that and designing this world.

I think in this case, although it is a fairy tale, I wanted to try and somehow make it feel a tad more real, a tad more relatable than probably the first film.
