We actually have two meanings. If someone is sitting pretty, they are in a very comfortable position in life with a large enough you know, sum of money or supply. So they're sitting pretty. They're in a very good position. Okay. Number two. If someone is sitting pretty, he or she is in a very favorable position. The very favorable position you know, in some sort of what competition or in some sort of situation. They're in a very favorable position. Okay. So let's, let's continue with the note here. This phrase dates back to the early 1900's and was popularized. So it was made more popular by two famous musicals "Sittin' Pretty'' you know, it would basically mean sitting pretty. It's just the G is missing and "Sitting Pretty both of them were the early 1920s. This one was 1921 the second one here is 1924. So they helped to make this phrase more popular and you know popular enough that it stayed. It stayed in society and kept being used even until today. So let's look at the three examples here. Example number one. After winning the lottery her money worries were over. She was sitting pretty. Yeah. So a lot of times we say that. Somebody they came into a lot of money or they have a lot of sources, resources they don't have to worry about running out of something. They're sitting pretty. Yes. Okay or number two that team is 15 games ahead of the second place team with only one month to go. So it's a pretty good chance that they are going to clinch and win their division because there's not much time for the second-place team to catch up. Even though they haven't clinched it yet. Maybe they didn't say they wouldn't win a hundred percent , but it was really very difficult for the second-place team to catch up The first-place team would have to lose most of their games and thus a good place thing would have to win most of their games and it's not likely it'll turn out that way. So in that case, the first-place team is sitting pretty at that time. It was a lot closer if they were only three games behind and they're not really sitting pretty yet. I mean because the second-place team could still catch up, but 15 with only one month to go, They're sitting pretty. Okay or number two here. That candidate is way ahead in the polls. Most people think she is sitting ... in a sitting-pretty position. All right. Well you never know. But anyway, if they think they're in a very favorable position then they might say that they are sitting pretty. Okay. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it is clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
