The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.

The noble Brutus Hath told you Caesar was ambitious.

If it were so, it was a grievous fault, and grievously hath Caesar answer'd it.

如果是真的，那真是個嚴重的錯誤，而凱撒也付出了慘重的代價。

Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest–for Brutus is an honorable man; so are they all, all honorable men.

現在我得到布魯圖斯和他同志們的允許，因為布魯圖斯是個正人君子；他們全都是正人君子。

Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral.

我來這裡在凱撒的葬禮說幾句話。

He was my friend, faithful and just to me:

But Brutus says he was ambitious, and Brutus is an honorable man.

He hath brought many captives home to Rome whose ransoms did the general coffers fill.

Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?

這樣的行徑表示凱撒很有野心嗎？

When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept;

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

野心者是不應當做這樣仁慈的事。

Yet, Brutus says he was ambitious, and Brutus is an honourable man.

You all did see that on the Lupercal I thrice presented him a kingly crown, which he did thrice refuse.

你們大家看見在盧缽葛節的那天，我向凱撒三次獻上王冠，三次他都拒絕了。

Was this ambition?

這難道是有野心嗎？

Yet, Brutus says he was ambitious, and, sure, he is an honorable man.

I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, but here I am to speak what I do know.

You all did love him once, not without cause.

你們過去都曾愛戴他，並不是沒有原因的。

What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?

那麼是什麼理由阻止你們現在哀悼他呢？

O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts, and men have lost their reason.

喔，公理啊，你已經遁入了野獸的心中，人們已經失去辨別是非的能力了。

Bear with me;

My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,

我的心現在是與凱撒一起埋葬在他的棺木內，

and I must pause till it come back to me.
