loves company. Okay. Let's take a look at the note here. The proverb basically means

that people who are unhappy prefer others to be unhappy as well. Okay. It can

also refer to the idea that the company of other people who are miserable makes

one's misery easier to bear. So if you're unhappy and you're miserable and you're

with other people somehow it makes you feel like well you're not alone. So it's

easier to take your misery. So we say misery loves company.

Sophocles 'Oepidus at Columbus' around 400 BC . So this has been a long

time. He wrote about this idea. However our

word it as misery loves company. They had another way of saying it, but it was

of cultures they had phrases you know, sayings like this or proverbs like this.

one has an a/b part. So number one says many people love to go to bars and

complain about their life to other barflies. All right. Barflies is an interesting

noun or noun phrase. That's usually people that often go to bar

and often like to talk about their life. So that's a barfly. So they are like ... like a

fly on the bar that's ...that's there all the time in order to drink away their

problems. Okay, and B says "Well it just goes to show, misery loves company . Okay,

good. And number two here. I think some people

are happy when others fail so they feel that they are not alone and they ... he goes
